What Precautions Should Be Taken When Using an Engine?

Engine is the most core and important component in the automotive system. The following aspects should be noted when using an engine: 1. Fuel must be clean. High impurity content in fuel will accelerate the wear of the electric fuel pump, reduce its service life, and degrade the engine's performance. 2. Choose the correct fuel. Engines have high requirements for fuel quality and grade, with even higher demands for fuel-injected engines. For vehicles equipped with catalytic converters and oxygen sensors, only unleaded high-grade gasoline should be used. 3. Refuel promptly. The electric fuel pump of a fuel-injected engine must ensure sufficient fuel supply and stable working pressure for the injection system. When the fuel level in the tank is low, refuel in time to prevent the fuel pump from burning out. 4. Do not disconnect electrical equipment circuits when the ignition switch is on. Most electrical devices consist of electromagnetic coils. Disconnecting circuits while they are powered can generate instantaneous high voltage due to self-induction, potentially damaging the computer or sensors. 5. Clean the fuel system and intake system regularly. A dirty fuel system can lead to a series of issues such as poor fuel flow or even blockage, valves not sealing properly, poor fuel atomization, insufficient fuel supply, and low fuel pressure, directly affecting the engine's normal operation.
