Driver's license renewal requires two 1-inch bareheaded color recent photos, along with two copies of ID card, original ID card, original driver's license, and a medical examination certificate from a county-level or above hospital (free physical examination is also available at the vehicle management office). Renewal process: The motor vehicle driver shall apply for renewal at the vehicle management office where the driver's license was originally issued with the required materials. The vehicle management office will complete the renewal procedures within one working day after passing the review. Conditions for renewal: Holders of large passenger vehicle, tractor, urban bus, medium passenger vehicle, or large truck driver's licenses have no demerit points in the current scoring cycle, or holders of other permitted vehicle type driver's licenses have less than 12 demerit points in the current scoring cycle. Holders of large passenger vehicle, tractor, urban bus, medium passenger vehicle, or large truck driver's licenses with demerit points in one scoring cycle, as well as holders of other permitted vehicle type driver's licenses who have caused traffic accidents resulting in death and assumed equal or greater responsibility without having their driver's license revoked, have participated in the inspection education. The applicant has no pending road traffic safety violations or traffic accidents. The applicant's physical condition meets the driving permit requirements. The motor vehicle driver's license is not under circumstances of being seized, detained, temporarily suspended, revoked, canceled, or withdrawn according to law.
