New cars require the following paint protection: coating and crystal coating. Crystal coating provides a reliable sealing technology for the car paint, offering efficient and long-lasting protection to prevent environmental factors from affecting the paint color. The concept of car paint crystal coating is introduced to differentiate it from waxing and sealing, and it can last for about six months. The steps for crystal coating are: 1. Clean and remove dirt from the car body; 2. Protect parts of the car body that are not painted to avoid grinding damage; 3. Polish and restore the paint surface; 4. After polishing, remove the protective coverings, rinse off surface wax residues to avoid any leftovers; 5. Degrease to remove the oil film on the paint surface.

When I first bought my new car, I was also concerned about paint protection. Later, I found that the most hassle-free solution is to apply a paint protection film (PPF). It's like putting a transparent protective suit on your car—minor scratches from branches or daily wear won't damage the original paint. I opted for a TPU-based PPF, and even after several rock chips from highway driving, the paint underneath remained flawless when I peeled back the film. Although it costs around 10,000 to 20,000 RMB, the thought of revealing factory-fresh paint gloss five years later makes it far more cost-effective than frequent visits to detailing shops. Especially for owners of dark-colored cars, the PPF's effectiveness against sun swirls is particularly noticeable.

I got my car ceramic coated right on the day of delivery, and after three years the paint still shines like it's in the showroom. Ceramic coating forms a glass-crystal layer on the paint surface - when acid rain or bird droppings fall on it, they bead up and roll off. The application process takes 5-6 hours: after thorough paint polishing, three layers of liquid crystal are applied, finally achieving 9H pencil hardness. Washing is effortless now - just a pressure washer rinse and it's clean, saving me lots of detailing costs. Remember not to expose it to rain during the first week after application, as the coating needs full curing time to reach optimal performance.

Where are the sunroof drainage holes located on the BMW 3 Series?

The BMW 3 Series has four sunroof drainage holes, all located in the pillars next to the front and rear windshields. Here are some important notes: Pay attention to the waterproofing of the sunroof: The sunroof is sealed with rubber gaskets, so it's important to keep the gaskets free of dust during use. Do not force the sunroof open when it is frozen, as this may damage the sunroof motor. Avoid fully opening the sunroof on bumpy roads: It's best not to fully open the sunroof on rough roads, as excessive vibration between the sunroof and the sliding rails can cause deformation of related components or even damage the motor.

What causes the brake lights to stay on in a 2013 Mondeo?

Ford Mondeo's brake lights staying on may be caused by the following reasons: Low brake fluid: It is an indispensable part of the vehicle's braking system. When the driver presses the brake pedal, the force applied is transmitted by the master cylinder piston through the brake fluid to the wheel cylinders at each wheel, causing the brake pads to contact the wheels and stop the vehicle. Short circuit: Check if the brake switch has poor contact or failed to reset after loosening; inspect the brake wiring for poor connections or short circuits; examine if the brake pedal rubber pad is intact; verify if the brake rubber ring is severely worn or if the brake switch is damaged. Severely worn brake pads: The light may also stay on if the brake pads are excessively worn, requiring replacement.

Is it advisable to purchase a commercial-to-private converted vehicle?

Commercial-to-private converted vehicles are not recommended for purchase. A commercial-to-private conversion refers to the process of changing a commercial vehicle into a private one. These vehicles primarily include retired taxis that have been converted to local license plates. Even after conversion, the usage period remains 8 years from the date of manufacture, after which they are mandatorily scrapped without further annual inspections or extended retirement periods. Apart from commercial-to-private converted vehicles, it is also advised not to purchase used cars with incomplete documents or procedures. Required vehicle documents include the owner's ID card, original vehicle invoice, vehicle purchase tax certificate, vehicle registration certificate, motor vehicle license, road maintenance fee certificate, annual inspection certificate, and insurance policy.
