Audi B8 is a mid-size car, which belongs to the eighth generation of Audi A4L. Taking the 2020 Audi A4L Fashion Dynamic model as an example, its body structure is a 4-door 5-seater sedan, with body dimensions of: length 4858mm, width 1847mm, height 1439mm, wheelbase of 2908mm, fuel tank capacity of 56L, and trunk capacity of 424L. The 2020 Audi A4L Fashion Dynamic model is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged engine, with a maximum horsepower of 150PS and a maximum power of 110kW, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Audi B8 refers to the platform code for the fourth-generation Audi A4, used for A4 models from 2007 to 2015, including both sedan and wagon versions. It was also extended to the A5 coupe and Q5 SUV. From my perspective, the design of this generation is simply stunning—smoother lines, a more spacious interior, and significantly improved handling and road feel compared to its predecessor. Especially the models equipped with quattro all-wheel drive are exceptionally stable in rainy or snowy conditions. There’s also a diverse range of engine options, with the 2.0TFSI turbocharged version offering quick acceleration and fuel efficiency, making it perfect for daily spirited driving. However, I must say, the A4’s seats are incredibly comfortable, making long drives fatigue-free. Plus, the B8 platform being shared with the A5 and Q5 means parts are easier to find and modifications are more straightforward. Overall, it feels like a major leap forward for Audi during that era, attracting many young car enthusiasts. Looking back now, the driving pleasure it offered still makes me nostalgic.
