The regulations state that there is no usage time limit for small and mini non-operating passenger vehicles, large non-operating cars, and wheeled special machinery vehicles. New regulations for scrapping vehicles in 2021: If a vehicle meets the scrapping requirements but fails to register for cancellation in time, the vehicle management office will invalidate its license plate number and driving license. Private cars, including 5-seat sedans and 7-seat SUVs, have no usage time limit for small and mini non-operating vehicles. When the mileage reaches 600,000 kilometers, the state will recommend scrapping. If the vehicle is over 15 years old and the mileage has not reached 600,000 kilometers, it must undergo annual inspections twice a year. Vehicles that fail the inspection will be forcibly scrapped.
