What method can be used to remove engine oil from work clothes?

Soak the contaminated part of the work clothes in hot water at about 60°C for a while, then take it out and sprinkle a small amount of alkali powder and an equal amount of laundry detergent, and scrub it by hand. Then, rinse with clean water, and then wash again with laundry detergent. Cut the soap into pieces and dissolve it in boiling water, then put the work clothes in the soap solution and scrub.
Last time I got engine oil all over my sleeves in the garage, I figured out a few methods. First, use kitchen paper to absorb excess oil to prevent it from spreading. The most convenient option is dish soap—squeeze it directly onto the stain and scrub, then rinse with cold water after the grease breaks down. If dish soap doesn’t work, try gasoline or industrial alcohol, but make sure to work in a well-ventilated area and gently dab with a cotton swab, followed by repeated washing with laundry detergent to remove the chemical smell. For particularly stubborn stains, use a professional oil stain spray, let it sit for 15 minutes, then toss it in the washing machine. Finally, a reminder: never use hot water, as it will cause the oil to seep deeper into the fibers, making it harder to clean. Pure cotton work clothes are easier to handle than synthetic ones.
