What Makes the Bora Brake Pedal Return to Position?
1 Answers
The Bora brake pedal returns to position via the brake caliper. Function of the brake caliper: The guide pin of the brake caliper ensures that the brake pad acts vertically on the brake disc under the force of the brake piston. The rubber sleeve protects the guide pin from exposure to the external environment, which could lead to rusting due to water contact or wear from dust and sand. Reasons for the brake failing to return: If the brake caliper piston cannot retract, it is likely due to rust inside the caliper piston. Rusting is a common issue with cast iron. Another cause of rust is the prolonged use of deteriorated brake fluid, as the moisture content in the fluid accelerates the oxidation of the caliper (cast iron).
