What Lights Should You Use When Driving at Night?

When driving at night, you should turn on the low beam headlights. Short-range illumination: Low beam headlights are designed for short-range illumination, with a design focus on a wide coverage area (160 degrees) and a short projection distance. The focus of the beam cannot be adjusted. Illumination distance: The illumination distance of low beam headlights is approximately 30-40 meters. Experiments show that when driving at 55 km/h at night, the stopping distance after immediately applying the brakes is exactly 30 meters. You must turn on the low beam headlights when driving in areas without streetlights at night, during dusk when it's getting dark, or at dawn when light is just appearing. In conditions of heavy fog, snow, or rain where visibility is obstructed, you must also turn on the low beam headlights even during the day. Additionally, on some roads where lighting is insufficient despite having lighting equipment, you should also use the low beam headlights.
