What Lights Should Be Turned On When Temporarily Parking in the Rain?

When temporarily parking in the rain, vehicles should turn on the hazard warning lights (also known as emergency flashers). The official term for these lights is hazard warning lights, which are typically used when a vehicle experiences a malfunction, is in danger, or needs to make a temporary stop on a main road. According to regulations, motor vehicles are required to turn on hazard warning lights only when driving in foggy conditions. Article 58 of the "Regulations for the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates: When driving at night without streetlights, under poor lighting conditions, or in situations of low visibility such as fog, rain, snow, dust, or hail, motor vehicles must turn on headlights, position lights, and rear lights. However, high beams should not be used when a following vehicle is driving close behind another vehicle in the same direction. In foggy conditions, motor vehicles must turn on fog lights and hazard warning lights.
