What kind of sound system does the Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe have?

Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupe is equipped with Harman Kardon sound system. Principle of Harman Kardon sound system: The internal amplifier circuit divides the sound into several wavelength segments through a crossover. The mid-to-short wavelength segments (mid-high frequencies) are output to satellite speakers, while the mid-to-long wavelength segments (mid-low frequencies) are output to the subwoofer. Generally, the subwoofer produces long-wave sounds in the range of 20-200Hz, which are easily audible but difficult to localize due to their long wavelengths. These long-wave sounds are transmitted through the bass reflex port, resonating with the satellite speakers. The weak bass produced by the long-wave speaker and satellite speakers combines, and the satellite speakers then reproduce the bass released by the subwoofer, resulting in a powerful bass effect that feels as if the sound is coming from the satellite speakers. Function of Harman Kardon sound system: Its role is to enhance the bass frequency range, boosting the long-wave portion of the audio (below 100Hz, including infrasound). Due to the limited size of regular speakers, they cannot produce low-frequency sounds with longer wavelengths, requiring a larger subwoofer to achieve a dynamic low-frequency effect. Additionally, bass sound waves have the longest wavelengths, resulting in lower efficiency during energy conversion and higher power consumption. Thus, achieving the same output power level requires greater input power.
