What kind of glue is more durable for reattaching a fallen ETC?

If the ETC device falls off, you can use 3M double-sided tape to reattach it after reactivation. Here are the precautions for installing ETC: 1. Installation height: Pay attention to the installation height, which should be no less than 1.2 meters and no more than 2.5 meters. 2. Installation angle: The installation angle N should be between 30° and 90°, which is the angle between the surface of the electronic tag and the horizontal plane. 3. Avoid obstruction: When installing, avoid the black areas on the windshield and do not install it in a position that blocks the solar battery. 4. Do not remove it arbitrarily after installation: Avoid ETC failure after removal.
My previous car's ETC device also fell off several times before I figured out the solution. The most reliable method is using 3M brand automotive-grade double-sided tape, specifically the gray VHB model. Remember to thoroughly clean both the windshield and ETC base with alcohol first, wait until completely dry, then cut the tape to appropriate size and apply it. Press firmly for half a minute to ensure complete adhesion, and ideally don't move the vehicle for 24 hours after installation. This type of tape withstands high temperatures and vibrations, making it perfect for long bumpy trips. If you don't have specialized tape temporarily, hardware store heavy-duty double-sided tape can work in a pinch, but never use quick fixes like super glue or hot melt adhesive as they'll warp the plastic casing.
