2020 National VI Tharu uses 95-grade engine oil. Functions of engine oil: Lubrication: Reduces wear on engine metal components; Cleaning: Removes impurities to maintain internal engine cleanliness, including moisture, combustion byproducts, oxidation products, dust, etc.; Cooling: Dissipates excess heat to maintain normal engine temperature; Sealing: Forms an oil film to prevent gas leakage; Corrosion prevention: Prevents rust and neutralizes acidic substances. Composition of engine oil: Base oil: Mineral oil, synthetic oil. Additives: Viscosity index improvers, detergents and dispersants, anti-wear agents, antioxidants, pour point depressants, friction modifiers, rust inhibitors, anti-foaming agents, and other additives.

I've been driving this 2020 Tharu for over three years and am quite particular about engine oil. For China VI emission standard vehicles, low-ash oil is a must to prevent particulate filter clogging – repairs can be especially troublesome. The Tharu's 1.4T engine requires VW50800-certified 0W-20 oil as per factory specifications, with full synthetic being recommended. Premium brands like original VW Black Diamond, Shell Helix Ultra, or Mobil ESP are good choices. During summer when running AC under heavy load, oil temperatures rise and 5W-30 can serve as emergency use, but 0W-20 remains better for long-term engine protection. Don't exceed 10,000 km between oil changes – last service the mechanic mentioned this engine is very sensitive to oil viscosity, and mixing different grades may trigger warning lights. The required oil specification is marked on the oil filler cap; popping the hood to check is the safest approach.

As a long-time owner of the Tharu, I've learned my lesson when it comes to oil changes. The 20-model-year China-6 engine requires oil with VW50800 certification, otherwise the particulate filter will clog within six months. The dealership used 0W-20 full synthetic oil, but I later discovered that Shell Helix Ultra 0W-20 from JD.com's self-operated store also works and is one-third cheaper. The key is to check for the Volkswagen certification mark on the bottle. Never use 5W-40 meant for China-5 vehicles—it's too thick and can damage the engine. 0W-20 flows better during cold starts, making the engine start half a second faster in winter. Last month during maintenance, I noticed the drain plug gasket was worn and leaking, so I'd like to remind everyone to have the mechanic check the seals during every oil change.

Is it allowed to temporarily park while driving a motor vehicle in a tunnel?

When driving a motor vehicle in a tunnel, temporary parking is not allowed. Motor vehicles are prohibited from parking at intersections, railway crossings, sharp curves, narrow roads less than 4 meters wide, bridges, steep slopes, tunnels, and within 50 meters of these locations. Temporary parking of motor vehicles on the road should comply with the following regulations: 1. Parking is prohibited in sections with no-parking signs or markings, sections with isolation facilities between motor vehicle lanes and non-motor vehicle lanes or sidewalks, crosswalks, and construction areas; 2. Parking is prohibited at intersections, railway crossings, sharp turns, narrow roads less than 4 meters wide, bridges, steep slopes, tunnels, and within 50 meters of these locations; 3. Parking is prohibited in front of bus stops, emergency stations, gas stations, fire hydrants, or fire stations (posts), and within 30 meters of these locations, except when using these facilities.

Why is the spare tire pressure 420?

The spare tire pressure is 420 because the tire pressure during storage should be higher than the standard upper limit, but it should be adjusted to match the standard tire pressure of the original tires when in use. Hazards of overinflated tires: Reduced friction and adhesion of the tires, affecting braking performance; Causes steering wheel vibration and deviation, reducing driving comfort; Accelerates localized wear of the central tread pattern, shortening tire lifespan; Increases vehicle vibration, indirectly affecting the lifespan of other components; Overstretches the tire cords, reducing elasticity and increasing the load on the vehicle during driving; Decreases puncture resistance. When encountering sharp objects like nails or glass, the tire is more prone to punctures, leading to internal cracks, blowouts, and potential tire bursts. Hazards of underinflated tires: Increases friction with the road surface, leading to higher fuel consumption; Causes heavy steering and deviation, compromising driving safety; Increases movement of tire components, leading to excessive rolling and abnormal heat generation; Weakens the function of cords and rubber, causing delamination or cord breakage, and excessive friction with the rim, damaging the bead area and causing abnormal wear; Multiplies friction with the ground, sharply raising tire temperature, softening the tire, and drastically reducing strength. High-speed driving may lead to tire bursts; Increases tire deformation, leading to sidewall cracks, flexing movements, excessive heat, rubber aging, cord fatigue, and breakage, while also enlarging the tire's contact area and accelerating shoulder wear.

What Impact Does a Driver's Safe Driving Record Have?

Querying a driver's safe driving record serves to encourage safe driving practices. Below is expanded information regarding traffic violation handling: 1. Timeframe: Vehicle owners must address violations at the local traffic police station where the violation occurred. Failure to do so within 15 days will incur a late fee of 3% per day, although the total late fee will not exceed double the original fine amount. Early resolution helps avoid unnecessary penalties. 2. Verification method: The quickest and most effective way to confirm whether you have committed a violation is to inquire at the vehicle management office or traffic police station. Essential documents to bring include your driver's license, vehicle registration certificate, and ID card—all three are mandatory. It's also advisable to carry some cash, so that if a violation is found, you can promptly complete the necessary procedures.

What grade of fuel should a normal car use?

Usually, the fuel grade label is marked on the fuel tank cap. The only criterion for selecting the gasoline grade is the compression ratio of the car engine. Generally, the higher the compression ratio, the higher the gasoline grade. Typically, when the compression ratio is between 7.5-8.0, 90-93 grade gasoline should be used; for a compression ratio of 8.0-8.5, 90-93 grade gasoline is suitable; when the compression ratio is 8.5-9.0, 93-95 grade gasoline should be selected; and for a compression ratio of 9.5-10.0, 95-97 grade gasoline is recommended. The manual clearly specifies which grade of gasoline to use. There is no mistake in following the manual's instructions. Generally, the higher the compression ratio, the higher the gasoline grade. However, a high compression ratio does not entirely mean that high-grade gasoline is required. With clever engineering, high-compression engines can also use lower-grade gasoline.

Which is the Brake and Which is the Accelerator in a Motor Vehicle?

In a manual transmission vehicle, there are three pedals arranged from left to right: the first is the clutch, the second is the brake, and the third is the accelerator. The left foot controls the clutch, while the right foot controls the brake and accelerator. An automatic transmission vehicle has only two pedals, arranged from left to right: the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal, both controlled solely by the right foot. The brake system consists of brake calipers and brake pads installed on the wheel hubs, with a master brake cylinder installed in the driver's compartment. Brake cylinders can be hydraulic, pneumatic, or lever-type, and operating the master brake cylinder applies braking force to the moving vehicle. The accelerator controls the fuel injection volume of the engine. When the accelerator is pressed down, a larger fuel injection increases the engine speed, thereby making the vehicle move faster.

Why is the Camry's daytime running light flickering?

Possible reasons for the flickering of the Camry's daytime running light: it could be due to poor contact between the fuse and the headlight plug, or poor connection between the cathode power supply and the wiring harness with the frame. The daytime running light automatically turns on after the vehicle is started and remains lit in any position of the light switch, with no option for manual shutdown. The purpose of daytime running lights is to make the vehicle more easily recognizable during daytime driving. The Camry has a length of 4885mm, width of 1840mm, height of 1455mm, and a wheelbase of 2825mm. In terms of exterior design, the Camry features a large trapezoidal horizontal grille, a streamlined body posture with a lower waistline, an extended roofline that increases rear headroom, and a dual-sided quad-exhaust design at the rear.
