Different Borgward vehicle models are equipped with different engines. Taking the Borgward BX5 as an example: it is equipped with a 1.4T turbocharged engine that utilizes technologies such as variable intake manifold, direct fuel injection, and dual VVT. In terms of engine technology, it has reached the current mainstream level, and its performance is also quite good. The dimensions of this vehicle are 4483mm, 1876mm, and 1677mm respectively, with a maximum power output of 150kw and a maximum torque of 250nm. The vehicle reaches its maximum torque at engine speeds between 1750 and 4000rpm. In terms of the transmission system, this vehicle is matched with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering excellent power performance that can meet the needs of daily driving.
As a Borgward owner, I've been driving the BX7 for several years now. It's equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine that delivers up to 224 horsepower, which really packs a punch. It accelerates quickly for overtaking, making highway passing a breeze. In city driving, fuel consumption is around 9L/100km, and it's even more economical on long trips. The engine runs quietly, with barely any noise noticeable when the windows are closed. There's a BX5 in my neighborhood with a 1.8T engine, which also provides ample power. Borgward's engines are all self-developed. A couple of years ago, they introduced the hybrid BXi7, which I saw at an auto show - quite interesting how well the electric and gasoline engines work together.
