Geely GC9 is the first independently developed mid-to-high-end sedan. Geely GC9: The Geely GC9 was born on Geely's independently developed KC platform and was designed by an international styling team led by Peter Horbury, Senior Vice President of Design at Geely Group. Its styling art combines international design trends with unique Chinese aesthetic elements. Geely Auto Group: Geely Auto Group is a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. It has vehicle and powertrain manufacturing bases in Taizhou/Ningbo (Zhejiang), Xiangtan (Hunan), Chengdu (Sichuan), Baoji (Shaanxi), Jinzhong (Shanxi), and other regions, as well as overseas factories in Belarus and other countries and regions. Vehicle Models: Geely Auto offers a range of models including the Xingyue L, Xingrui, Xingyue S, Borui, Boyue series, Haoyue, Jiaji, Emgrand series, and Vision series, covering various segments such as sedans, SUVs, and MPVs. These models include traditional fuel, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric powertrains, comprehensively meeting the diverse needs of users from different social strata and cities.
I've been driving the Geely GC9 for over a year now, which is actually the mid-size sedan later renamed as Borui. It feels very stable to drive, with comfortable chassis tuning that makes speed bumps barely noticeable and long-distance driving fatigue-free. The space is particularly impressive—the back seat can easily accommodate three adults, and the trunk is spacious enough to handle luggage without any stress. The interior craftsmanship is better than I expected, with soft leather seats, a responsive central control screen, and easy connectivity for phone navigation. Fuel consumption is reasonable, averaging just over 8 liters in the city and dropping to around 7 liters on highways. Maintenance costs are affordable, with a single visit to the 4S shop costing just a few hundred yuan. The downside? The engine noise is a bit loud during acceleration, but overall, it offers great value for money with comprehensive safety features like auto hold and blind spot monitoring, which are very practical. I think it's perfect for family use—it looks respectable and is hassle-free to maintain. If your budget is around 150,000 yuan, it’s definitely a great choice.
