What is the working principle of the new Elysion hybrid?

The working principle of the new Elysion hybrid is as follows: Brief introduction to the hybrid working mechanism: The hybrid working mechanism maintains battery charge at around 60%. When below 60%, the engine continuously works to charge the battery; when above 60%, the engine shuts down. In low-speed traffic congestion scenarios, the engine does not start, and the vehicle creeps at low speed until battery charge drops to 50%, at which point the engine restarts to charge the battery. During normal driving conditions, the engine powers the generator, which then drives the electric motor. When cruising above 60 km/h, the engine both supplies power to the generator and directly connects to the single-speed transmission to drive the wheels, improving transmission efficiency. Below 60 km/h, the direct connection is not used, and only the series hybrid (range-extending) mode is employed for driving. Application of direct connection mode: When flooring the accelerator at low speeds, the engine works at full capacity to provide energy for the generator, without using direct connection. When flooring the accelerator above 100 km/h, the engine increases RPM and adopts both direct connection and range-extending modes for driving. When battery charge is below 100% and the brake is applied, the engine shuts off, with braking entirely handled by mechanical brakes and electric motor kinetic energy recovery. When battery charge reaches 100% and the brake is applied, the engine uses direct connection shutdown to create engine braking (engine drag), thereby enhancing braking force.
