The working principle of an automotive electric air conditioning system is as follows: When the AC button is pressed for cooling, the electric compressor starts operating. The compressor continuously compresses the refrigerant and delivers it to the evaporator. Inside the evaporator, the refrigerant expands and absorbs heat, thereby cooling the evaporator. The cooled evaporator then cools the air blown by the blower, resulting in cold air being discharged from the air vents. For heating, the system relies on the high-temperature coolant from the engine. When the heater is turned on, the hot coolant flows through the heater core, and the air from the blower passes over the heater core, allowing warm air to be discharged from the air vents.
