Generally, the body width of a sedan ranges between 1600mm and 2000mm. Vehicle width refers to the distance between two planes parallel to the vehicle's longitudinal symmetry plane and respectively touching the fixed protruding parts on both sides of the vehicle (excluding rearview mirrors, side marker lights, turn signals, flexible fenders, and the deformation of the tire-ground contact area). In terms of sedan classifications, A-segment cars refer to small cars, B-segment cars refer to mid-range cars, C-segment cars refer to premium cars, and D-segment cars refer to luxury cars. For passenger vehicles, if three seats are to be arranged side by side with sufficient width, the vehicle width generally needs to reach 1800mm. However, since an excessively wide body reduces maneuverability and parking convenience in urban areas, a width of 2000mm is widely recognized as the upper limit for passenger vehicles. Vehicles approaching or exceeding 2000mm in width can be very difficult to drive.
