The warranty period for the BYD Song is 4 years or 100,000 kilometers. Additional details regarding the warranty are as follows: 1. The quality warranty refers to the provision of free technical services by BYD Auto Sales Company to restore the functionality and performance of the vehicle to meet the required standards, ensuring normal usage by the customer, in case of any faults or performance issues caused by design, manufacturing, assembly, or material defects under the specified usage conditions and duration set by BYD Auto Company. 2. Regular maintenance at BYD dealerships helps maintain the vehicle in optimal condition. According to the maintenance and warranty manual for BYD vehicle series, customers should follow the prescribed time intervals and mileage for the initial break-in maintenance and subsequent periodic maintenance starting from the date of purchase (based on the invoice). 3. The full vehicle warranty does not imply that all components are covered under the same warranty terms. Instead, warranty coverage varies by component. Components prone to wear or aging, such as batteries, shock absorbers, wipers, rubber parts, and audio equipment, have shorter warranty periods, while more durable components like engine blocks have longer warranty periods. Different components come with different warranty durations.

I've been driving the BYD Song DM-i for almost two years, and the warranty period gives me great peace of mind. The whole vehicle is covered for 6 years or 150,000 kilometers, while core components like the battery are protected for 8 years or 150,000 kilometers, which is much longer than most other brands. Before buying, I compared and found many cars only offer 3 years or 100,000 kilometers. So far, I haven't had any issues, and I always go to the 4S store for maintenance to keep complete records and ensure the warranty remains valid. The long warranty also boosts the resale value, so I plan to drive it until the warranty expires. I regularly check the tires and fluids to prevent minor issues from becoming major problems. BYD's service is excellent, with free repairs that are hassle-free.

What is a Worm and Crank?

Worm and crank refers to a worm and peg steering gear, where the worm serves as the driving component and the crank peg as the driven component. The steering worm, featuring trapezoidal-section threads, is supported by ball bearings at both ends of the steering gear housing, meshing with a conical peg. Below is an introduction to the principle of the worm and crank: 1. The worm has trapezoidal threads, and a finger-like conical peg is supported by bearings on the crank, which is integrated with the steering rocker arm shaft. 2. During steering, turning the steering wheel rotates the worm, causing the conical peg embedded in the worm's helical groove to rotate on its own while moving in an arc around the steering rocker arm shaft. This drives the crank and steering drop arm to swing, thereby turning the steering wheels through the steering linkage. 3. This type of steering gear is typically used in trucks that require greater steering force.

What does it mean when the fixed point for hill start is less than 50 centimeters?

When the fixed point for hill start is less than 50 centimeters, it means the distance between the tires should be between 30-50 centimeters. If the distance from the tire to the sideline is more than 30 centimeters, 10 points will be deducted; if it exceeds 50 centimeters, the score will be 0. Below is some information about the driving test: 1. Subject 1: Examination on road traffic safety laws, regulations, and related knowledge. It is a written test conducted on a computer, with a full score of 100, and a passing score of 90 or above (including 90). 2. Subject 2: Examination on field driving skills, conducted with an actual vehicle in a designated area. Results are only categorized as pass or fail. It includes five mandatory tests conducted in sequence: reversing into a parking space, parallel parking, S-curve driving, right-angle turning, and hill start and stop at a fixed point. The full score is 100, and a passing score is 80 or above (including 80). 3. Subject 3: Examination on road driving skills, conducted on a road or simulated area with an actual vehicle. The full score is 100, with passing scores of 90 or above for large buses, 80 or above for large trucks, and 70 or above for other vehicle types. 4. Subject 4: Examination on safe and civilized driving knowledge, a written test with a full score of 100, and a passing score of 90 or above (including 90).

What does the 700r16lt tire mean?

In the 700r16lt tire, 700 indicates that the width of the tire is 700mm, LT stands for Light Truck, r represents the word RADIAL, meaning it is a radial tire (steel-belted tire), and 16 indicates that the rim diameter is 16 inches. The wheel size refers to the diameter of the wheel hub, and one should not blindly pursue larger sizes. Larger-diameter wheel hubs with better handling performance are suitable for sports cars and racing cars, so they can also be chosen for sports vehicles. Smaller wheel hubs may look less impressive but can make the car more comfortable and fuel-efficient. The load index refers to the maximum weight a tire can bear under standard tire pressure, so the vehicle's load should not exceed the corresponding load mass, as it may affect the safe operation of the car. The speed rating refers to the certified speed grade of the tire, ranging from 4.8 km/h to 300 km/h. The speed rating letters include J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, U, H, V, W, Y, and ZR, where J-Y represents speeds of 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180, 190, 200, 210, 240, 270, and 300 km/h, respectively. In addition to the model, tires are also marked with the following common data: Tire cord material: Represented by Chinese pinyin, such as M for cotton cord, R for rayon cord, N for nylon cord, G for steel cord, and ZG for steel radial cord tires. Speed rating: Indicates the maximum speed at which the tire can carry the specified load under defined conditions. Letters from A to Z represent certified speed ratings ranging from 4.8 km/h to 300 km/h. Commonly used speed ratings include: Q: 160 km/h; H: 210 km/h; V: 240 km/h; W: 270 km/h; Y: 300 km/h. Rim specification: Indicates the rim specification compatible with the tire, facilitating practical use, e.g., standard rim 5.00F. In daily use, the following points should be noted for tires: Regularly inspect the tire surface for cracks, deformations, or other defects. Due to wear from driving, the tread grooves gradually become shallow. If the tread is worn out, it will lose its drainage and anti-slip functions, significantly reducing the car's performance. Small cracks may pose a risk of tire blowouts at high speeds. Additionally, pebbles in the grooves should be promptly removed. Try to park on flat ground. Avoid parking on roads with thick, sharp, or pointed stones. Do not park near or in contact with petroleum products, acids, or other materials that may deteriorate rubber. After parking, the driver should not turn the steering wheel, as this will accelerate tire wear. Do not splash water for cooling. In hot weather or during high-speed driving, tires are prone to overheating, and the pressure may increase. In such cases, stop to allow the tires to cool down naturally. Do not release air to reduce pressure or splash water to cool the tires, as this may cause abnormal aging of the tread rubber. Avoid sudden braking. Try to minimize frequent use of brakes and sudden stops to prevent accelerated tread wear caused by dragging between the tire and the ground.

What type of transmission does the Nissan Qashqai use?

The transmission used in the Nissan Qashqai is jointly developed by JATCO and Nissan. JATCO, a subsidiary of Nissan Motor, is one of the world's largest manufacturers of automatic transmissions. Its main products include stepped automatic transmissions (AT) and continuously variable transmissions (CVT). The company operates in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, serving customers in over 30 countries worldwide. It supplies automatic transmissions to major automakers, including Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Subaru, Volkswagen, and Mazda, with an annual production exceeding 4 million units. JATCO has production and operational bases in the United States, South Korea, Mexico, France, China, Thailand, and other countries. The Nissan Qashqai is equipped with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). Unlike traditional automatic transmissions with fixed gear ratios, a CVT does not have distinct gear shifts. Instead, it provides a seamless and continuous range of ratios, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted power delivery. When using the Qashqai's transmission, the following points should be noted: Do not delay transmission fluid changes for extended periods. While many modern vehicles claim to have 'maintenance-free' transmission fluid, this does not mean it never needs replacement. Prolonged neglect can damage internal components such as bearings and the transmission casing. Avoid coasting in neutral for long durations. Some experienced drivers of manual transmissions may coast in neutral, but doing so in an automatic transmission can cause overheating and jolts when shifting back to Drive (D). Never shift into Drive (D) or Reverse (R) before the vehicle comes to a complete stop. Some drivers shift gears abruptly to showcase 'smooth' driving, but this can severely damage transmission gears, leading to grinding or other malfunctions over time. Avoid frequently climbing steep slopes in Drive (D). Automatic transmissions may overheat or upshift prematurely under heavy loads, resulting in poor climbing performance. In such cases, use manual mode to lock in lower gears or switch to Sport mode to protect the transmission. Do not tow the vehicle over long distances. If the Qashqai breaks down, use a flatbed tow truck with the transmission in Neutral (N). Never tow it directly with a rope or similar method.
