What is the wading depth of the Prado?

The wading depth of the Prado is 0.5 meters. Introduction to the Prado: The Prado (PRADO) was produced based on the successful production and sales of the Sichuan Toyota Coaster bus. It is currently the only Prado production line operated by Toyota in China. The successful launch of the Prado marks the first collaborative achievement between FAW and Toyota. The PRADO off-road vehicle is the latest model in Toyota's Land Cruiser Prado series, a newly developed next-generation SUV. Maximum Wading Depth: The maximum wading depth refers to the greatest depth a vehicle can safely traverse under safe driving conditions, also known as the safe depth. It is an important indicator for evaluating a vehicle's off-road capability; the greater the maximum wading depth, the stronger its water-crossing ability.
The official wading depth of the Prado is around 700mm, which is roughly two-thirds of the tire height. However, I must remind you that this value is measured under standard tire pressure and at a constant speed. If you encounter heavy rain or flooding where the water level exceeds the lower edge of the bumper, it's best to turn around immediately. Actual wading capability also depends on your speed—too high a wave can easily flood the air intake. I've seen people install raised snorkels to increase wading depth to over 1 meter, but ordinary owners should never attempt such modifications. In stock condition, water deeper than half the wheel hub is dangerous. Before heading out during the rainy season, check local flood warnings. If you do encounter deep water, engage low-range four-wheel drive and maintain steady throttle. Never attempt to restart the engine if it stalls—that will ruin it.
