What is the voltage of a general car battery?

Generally, the voltage of a car battery is 12V. If measured with a multimeter, a battery voltage between 11.8V and 12.8V is considered normal. The car battery, also known as the storage battery, is an indispensable part of a vehicle and can be categorized into traditional lead-acid batteries and maintenance-free batteries. Since the battery uses a lead-calcium alloy for the grid frame, the amount of water decomposed during charging is minimal, and the water evaporation rate is also low. Additionally, the sealed structure of the casing releases very little sulfuric acid gas. Compared to traditional batteries, it has advantages such as not requiring any liquid addition, easy connection to terminal posts, and a long power storage duration.
