What is the Volkswagen 645 relay?

16 Volkswagen Polo 644 and 645 are electromechanical and rectifier-type relays, respectively. Inside, the 30 is the main contact point of the main line relay; the power pin (constant power) and 87a are normally closed. How to use: Turn on the switch, the coil generates a magnetic field to pull down the contact, 30 then disconnects from 87a and closes with 87; 87A is normally closed, meaning it connects with 30 when there is no current between 85 and 86. If 85 and 86 are disconnected, 30 disconnects from 87 and connects with 87a. Safety hazards: Abnormal noise caused by deformation or damage of a certain component; if the connecting rod bends and hits the cylinder, the valve spring breaks, or the crankshaft fractures, leading to abnormal noise; abnormal combustion due to the gasoline engine's ignition timing being too early or too late, causing detonation, while the diesel engine's injection timing being too early, resulting in premature rough metal knocking; improper assembly adjustment or repair can cause misalignment of machine component assembly gaps; if the piston pin is assembled too tightly or the valve clearance is improperly adjusted, abnormal noise will occur; generally, the higher the speed, the stronger the mechanical abnormal noise, but at high speeds, various sounds mix together, making some abnormal noises difficult to distinguish; therefore, diagnosing the speed depends on the abnormal sound.
