New vehicle annual inspection period: According to the regulations of the Road Traffic Safety Law Implementation Ordinance: 1. For passenger transport vehicles, inspections are required once a year within the first 5 years, and every 6 months after exceeding 5 years; 2. For cargo vehicles and large/medium-sized non-passenger transport vehicles, inspections are required once a year within the first 10 years, and every 6 months after exceeding 10 years; 3. For small and mini non-passenger transport vehicles, inspections are required every 2 years within the first 6 years, once a year after exceeding 6 years, and every 6 months after exceeding 15 years; 4. For motorcycles, inspections are required every 2 years within the first 4 years, and once a year after exceeding 4 years; 5. Tractors and other motor vehicles require annual inspections. If an operational motor vehicle passes the safety technical inspection within the specified inspection period, it does not need to undergo repeated safety technical inspections.

When I first bought my car, I was also confused about the annual inspection. Now I've got it all figured out! For newly purchased private cars, the first six years are hassle-free. In the second and fourth years, you just need to click a few times on the Traffic Management 12123 APP to get the electronic inspection label—no need to drive to the inspection station at all. However, in the sixth year, you have to take the car for a safety inspection to check things like brakes and lights. Then, in the tenth year, it's time for another on-site inspection. I remember my neighbor bought a used minivan, and this policy doesn’t apply because minivans must undergo an annual on-site inspection. Also, if the vehicle has been penalized for modifications or involved in an injury accident, it won’t qualify for the exemption. The inspection expiration date is marked on the vehicle registration certificate, and you can handle it three months before the deadline. Just remember to clear all traffic violations before going for the annual inspection.

Recent research on new vehicle regulations revealed changes in the annual inspection policy, which I'd like to share. For household passenger vehicles registered within the past ten years, only two on-site inspections are now required: in the sixth and tenth years. For the second and fourth years, simply apply for an inspection exemption mark via the APP or website – no need to even affix paper marks on windshields. The eighth year also requires just a simple application for an electronic mark. However, note three exceptions: minivans require annual on-site inspections regardless of age, vehicles penalized for illegal modifications, and vehicles involved in accidents causing casualties. Under the new policy, annual on-site inspections become mandatory after the tenth year. Remember to bring the electronic version of your compulsory traffic insurance policy when applying – using the traffic management APP is now much more convenient than queuing on-site.

As someone who often helps friends with vehicle inspections, the process is quite simple. For the second and fourth years after purchasing a new car, you only need to apply for the inspection exemption label online, with no need to visit an inspection station. By the sixth year, you must drive to the inspection station for safety checks such as lights and brakes. The eighth year reverts to applying for an electronic label online. The tenth year requires another on-site inspection, after which inspections become annual. A special reminder for pickup truck owners: pay attention to vehicle classification, as the same policy applies to 7 to 9-seater vehicles. Forgetting the inspection can result in a 200 yuan fine, penalty points, and may affect insurance claims. You can set up a reminder on the 12123 app, which notifies you 90 days in advance.

How Often Should Motorcycle Gear Oil Be Changed?

Motorcycle gear oil should be changed every 6,000 to 10,000 kilometers. Below is an introduction to related content: 1. Function: Gear oil primarily serves to lubricate gears and bearings, prevent wear and rust, and assist in dissipating heat from the gears. 2. Motorcycle Tire Pressure Standards: Front wheel pressure: 170 kPa; rear wheel pressure: 200 to 220 kPa. Below is extended information on the effects of insufficient motorcycle tire pressure: 1. Distance: Significant reduction in coasting distance. 2. Effect: Weakened coasting effect on downhill sections. 3. Flat Ground: Difficulty felt when pushing the vehicle on flat ground. 4. Wear: Severe tire wear. 5. Tires: Causes premature tire damage. 6. Blowouts: Generates excessive heat during long-distance travel, increasing the risk of blowouts.

What Type of Engine Oil is Suitable for Cars in Winter?

Winter engine oil models typically have a multi-grade viscosity of 5W-30. Below is a partial introduction to winter engine oil models: 1. State: In winter, temperatures are low, and conventional engine oil may turn into a semi-solid, semi-fluid state, reducing its flowability. Poor-quality oil might even stop flowing entirely. 2. Viscosity: It is best to choose engine oil with low base oil viscosity, a low pour point, and strong anti-wear performance. Most car owners in China opt for multi-grade viscosity oils like 5W-30 or 10W-40. The number before the 'W' in the oil grade represents the oil's low-temperature flowability.

How to Determine the Turning Distance While Driving

To judge the turning distance while driving, you need to estimate the distance between the front of the car and a person. Taking a sedan as an example, assume there is a person ahead who is about 1.7 to 1.8 meters tall, with their feet at approximately 10 cm, knees at around 45 cm, and hips at about 70 cm. Here are some tips for turning while driving: 1. Follow the outside-inside-outside principle for steering: If you want to pass through a curve quickly and minimize centrifugal force during the turn, make full use of the road width by steering in a large arc to approximate a straight line. 2. Release the throttle and downshift when approaching an uphill curve: Accelerate quickly out of the uphill curve after entering. Before entering the curve, release the throttle to allow the vehicle to enter the curve at a higher speed along the outer side, then downshift to first or second gear. Next, choose your path and correct the direction while gently pressing the throttle.

What Causes the Abnormal Noise When a BMW 3 Series Goes Over Bumpy Roads?

The main reasons for abnormal noise when a BMW 3 Series goes over bumpy roads are as follows: 1. Body noise: This is usually caused by insufficient body rigidity, leading to deformation of the vehicle while driving, friction or shaking between the doors and the frame, or friction between steel plates due to some areas being unwelded. Applying adhesive strips on the doors and windows or placing rubber pads in the friction areas may help reduce or eliminate the noise. 2. Engine compartment noise: There are many possible causes for noise here. A high-pitched belt squeal is generally caused by belt slippage. If there is a sound of dry metal friction outside the engine while it is running, it is usually a sign of damage to the generator, water pump, or power steering pump bearings. 3. Suspension noise: If there is a 'thud' or 'click' sound near the four wheels when encountering bumps, it is mostly due to shock absorber issues or loose suspension components. Be sure to have it thoroughly inspected at a professional repair shop. Suspension components are not only related to ride comfort but also to driving safety, so they should never be overlooked.

How Many Horsepower is 100 Pi?

Horsepower generally refers to metric horsepower, where 1 horsepower = 1 pi = 0.735 kW. Therefore, 100 horsepower equals 73.5 kW, which is also the maximum power output of a car. Below is an introduction to related content: 1. Family Cars: Most family car engines can achieve 100 horsepower, which is not particularly high. 2. Performance Indicator: Horsepower is a parameter used to measure engine performance, and it can be converted into power. Power is an indicator that measures how much work an engine can perform per unit of time. Horsepower is a commonly used unit for measuring power in engineering. It typically refers to metric horsepower rather than imperial horsepower. By definition, 1 metric horsepower is the power required to perform 75 kilogram-force·meters of work in 1 second.
