Detailed introduction about Toyota eFour is as follows: 1. Toyota has introduced two new four-wheel drive systems, namely the on-demand four-wheel drive system for fuel vehicles and the E-Four electric four-wheel drive system for hybrid models. In the future, Toyota will deploy 4WD systems based on 3 structures and 8 different versions for models including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and hybrid vehicles. Toyota expects that by 2030, 70% of its vehicles on sale will use the new four-wheel drive systems. 2. The new on-demand four-wheel drive system is called the Dynamic Torque Management AWD system (Dynamic-Torque-Vectoring-AWD) by Toyota. Although the name includes AWD, this new four-wheel drive system is still only an on-demand four-wheel drive system, but with more optimizations in torque distribution.

I once drove my friend's Toyota e-Four, which was a hybrid RAV4. This e-Four actually refers to Toyota's electronic four-wheel drive system, featuring a separate motor on the rear axle to drive the rear wheels. Normally, it runs on front-wheel drive for fuel efficiency, and intelligently activates the rear-wheel assist only when encountering slippery conditions like rain or when climbing hills. Unlike traditional four-wheel drive systems that consume more fuel, it offers much better stability than regular front-wheel drive vehicles. The most noticeable feeling when driving is the lack of wheel slip on wet, slippery curves, and significantly better traction in snow compared to my neighbor's CR-V. Toyota has equipped this system on many hybrid models, including the RAV4 and the Wildlander hybrid version.

Does frequent stalling harm a manual transmission?

There is almost no harm, and the impact is minimal. It's similar to an engine start-stop system, where the engine frequently shuts off and restarts. The only difference is that one is a normal shutdown, while the other is abnormal. There are a few minor, often overlooked effects. First, the engine experiences a certain degree of shock. Normally, it rotates smoothly, but when a sudden force stops it from rotating, the engine stalls instantly. Because this force is so abrupt, the crankshaft can suffer some impact. Second, after being forced to stall, there may be more unburned gasoline in the cylinders, which can lead to carbon buildup. However, the effects are minimal because the engine is restarted immediately, and the unburned fuel is consumed upon restart. Sometimes, restarting might be difficult due to an overly rich air-fuel mixture, but this can be resolved by gently pressing the accelerator while starting the engine.

What to Do When Your Car Breaks Down on the Road

Solutions for a car breaking down on the road: If your car suddenly breaks down halfway, as a driver, ensuring the safety of passengers and property is the top priority. When encountering a malfunction, the first thing you should do is turn on the hazard lights and slowly pull over to the side of the road. It's crucial to place a warning sign * meters behind the car. As for diagnosing the car's issue, having some basic repair knowledge as a driver is definitely beneficial. Therefore, unless it's a beginner-level operation like changing a tire, it's best to safely park the car and then call the car company's emergency rescue hotline to wait for assistance.

What is multi-cylinder misfire?

There are many causes of engine misfire, which can be mainly divided into the following two aspects: 1. Damage to external components: mainly caused by components around the combustion chamber such as valves, valve seat rings, valve guides, and spark plugs. Usually, check the spark plugs, clean the carbon deposits on the intake and exhaust valves, and inspect the turbocharger for any issues, such as wear or burning of the turbocharger impeller. 2. Misfire caused by the failure to ignite or delayed ignition of the mixture in the cylinder: This is usually due to an abnormality in a certain component or part, causing the ECU to regulate the engine unstably, failing to meet the theoretical value calibrated by the ECU, resulting in misfire.

What to Prepare When Buying a New Car?

New car essentials include: reverse radar, tire pressure gauge, toolkit, and phone holder. Reverse radar is a must-have device for new drivers—not only should you install a reverse camera, but a reverse radar is also essential. Tire pressure gauge: Some cars come with built-in tire pressure monitoring, while others only have a tire pressure warning system. Regular tire checks are necessary if your car lacks built-in monitoring. Toolkit: A car's toolkit is usually stored in the spare tire well in the trunk. Some new cars may not come with a fully equipped toolkit. Deodorizer: New cars often have odors. Besides ventilating by opening windows, you can also purchase activated charcoal bags or car deodorizers to improve air quality. Phone holder: Buy a holder that can be mounted in the car for convenient phone use while driving. However, using your phone while driving is not recommended, as it can distract you and pose safety risks.

How to Use the Izoa Cruise Control?

When the constant speed control mode is selected, the vehicle will maintain the set speed but will not control the following distance. Please select this mode only when the distance control mode cannot function properly due to reasons such as a dirty radar sensor. Usage of Toyota Izoa Cruise Control Buttons: Press CANCEL to cancel the cruise control, and then press RES to resume cruising. The cruise control function does not activate immediately after turning on the switch. The SET button is used to set the desired speed. (Note: The cruise control function can only be used at speeds above 30km/h.) The plus and minus buttons are used to adjust the speed value, with up/down controlling the increase/decrease of speed. The following distance for cruise control is set by the distance adjustment button, and then adjusted using the "+" and "-" buttons. The lane-keeping system, compared to the warning system, adds control over the braking mechanism. When the vehicle deviates from the lane and shows a tendency to cross the line, the system intervenes and applies the brakes while issuing a warning. Precautions for Using Toyota Izoa Cruise Control: The driver must apply the brakes manually for the cruise control to deactivate; adaptive cruise control will automatically brake. However, electronic devices may sometimes be less responsive, so the driver should always remain alert to the surroundings. Pressing the brake pedal will deactivate the cruise control. The previously set speed value is stored in the system and can be directly resumed. In situations such as heavy rain or winding mountain roads, be sure to turn off the cruise control to avoid danger. On downhill slopes, the vehicle may accelerate. Always use the brake pedal to assist in braking or directly turn off the cruise control.
