The normal tire pressure range for Passat is 2.4-2.5bar. Due to seasonal factors, the tire pressure can be appropriately increased by 0.2bar in winter and reduced by 0.1bar in summer. This data complies with the international GBT2978-2008 standard. The Volkswagen Passat is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system, and the tire pressure value will be displayed on the information screen in the center of the dashboard. Generally speaking, a tire pressure exceeding 2.8bar is considered too high, while a tire pressure below 2.0bar is considered too low. Hazards of excessive tire pressure: Reduced tire friction and adhesion, affecting braking performance; causing steering wheel vibration and deviation, reducing driving comfort; accelerating wear on the central tread pattern of the tire, shortening tire lifespan; increased body vibration, indirectly affecting the lifespan of other components; excessive stretching deformation of tire cords, reducing tire elasticity, increasing the load on the vehicle during driving. Hazards of insufficient tire pressure: Increased friction coefficient with the road surface, leading to higher fuel consumption; causing heavy steering and deviation, which are unfavorable for driving safety; increased movement of various parts of the tire, leading to abnormal heat generation due to excessive rolling; reduced functionality of cords and rubber, causing delamination or cord breakage, excessive friction with the rim, resulting in damage to the bead area and abnormal wear; multiplied friction between the tire and the ground, sharply rising tire temperature, softening the tire, and drastically reducing its strength. High-speed driving may lead to tire blowouts. If the tire pressure monitoring indicator light comes on (a yellow symbol, an irregular circle with no seal on top and four small spikes below, with an exclamation mark inside), there are generally three possible reasons: Abnormal tire pressure: Usually, an alarm is triggered when the pressure is below 1.8bar or above 3.0bar. In this case, tire inspection and pressure adjustment are required. Tire pressure monitoring not reset: After inflating the tires, the tire pressure was not reset in time, causing the tire pressure monitoring system to still record the previous data, which triggers the tire pressure monitoring indicator light. In this case, simply reset the tire pressure. Damaged tire pressure sensor: The tire pressure sensor, which is used to monitor tire pressure, is directly installed inside the tire and connected to the tire inflation port. If the sensor is damaged due to impact while driving, it can also cause the tire pressure warning light to come on. For sensor damage issues, only a new replacement part can be used.

Why does a car stall while driving?

The reasons why a car stalls while driving are: 1. When there is excessive carbon buildup in the throttle, releasing the accelerator during driving may cause the engine to stall; 2. Power supply failure, usually due to a damaged ignition coil, resulting in no high voltage to all spark plugs; 3. Electronic component failure. Solutions for a car stalling while driving include: 1. Ensure to refuel with high-grade gasoline at qualified gas stations; 2. Thoroughly clean the fuel system; 3. Perform regular maintenance. Common car faults include: 1. Excessive fuel consumption; 2. Excessive lubrication oil consumption; 3. Abnormal smoke from the exhaust pipe; 4. Steering deviation; 5. Steering wheel wobble or vibration.

What does an L-type engine mean?

L-type engine is an inline engine, also known as a straight engine, represented by the letter L followed by the number of cylinders to form the engine code. For example, L3, L4, L5, and L6 engines. Specifically, in this layout, all cylinders of the engine are arranged side by side in the same plane at the same angle, using only one cylinder head. Additionally, the structure of the cylinder block and crankshaft is relatively simple. The advantages of L-type engines include stability, simple structure, good operational balance, compact size, high stability, excellent low-speed torque characteristics, low fuel consumption, compact dimensions, and wide application range.
