What is the timing alignment method for Jinbei CG14?

Before adjusting the ignition timing, the contact gap must be adjusted to a range of 0.35 to 0.40 millimeters. Slowly rotate the crankshaft. When a hissing sound is heard, it indicates that the first cylinder is in the compression stroke. Open the inspection hole cover on the flywheel housing and then slowly rotate the crankshaft again. Loosen the fixing screw of the distributor housing. Rotate the housing along the direction of the distributor shaft until it is in the closed position. Turn on the ignition switch until sparks stop. Reinstall the distributor rotor. Insert the high-voltage wire of the first cylinder into the wire hole on the distributor cap aligned with the conductive piece of the distributor rotor. Insert the high-voltage wires of the other cylinders in a clockwise direction. Start the engine and let it run until it reaches normal operating temperature. Suddenly accelerate. If the engine emits a brief and slight knocking sound and it immediately disappears, the ignition timing is appropriate.
I've dealt with quite a few timing alignment issues on the Jinbei CG14 during my usual car repairs, and it's actually quite straightforward. The first step is to turn off the engine, let it cool down, and then remove the timing belt cover. Next, use a special tool or wrench to rotate the crankshaft to the top dead center position. There are usually alignment marks on the gears that need to match the camshaft tooth marks. If the marks aren't aligned properly, the engine may produce abnormal noises after starting, or even worse, the pistons could hit the valve heads, causing damage and leading to higher repair costs. I recommend that beginners take photos to record the initial state during the operation for easier adjustments. Don't forget to check the timing belt for signs of wear and aging. The Jinbei CG14 belt typically needs replacement every 50,000 kilometers or so. The process isn't difficult but requires patience, and having the right tools on hand can save a lot of trouble.
