What is the size of the Toyota Vios wheel hub?

The Vios has three types of wheel hubs: 14-inch steel wheel hubs, 15-inch steel wheel hubs, and 15-inch aluminum alloy wheel hubs. Only the 1.5L mid-to-high trim levels of the Vios are equipped with aluminum alloy wheel hubs, while the other models come with steel wheel hubs. The tire specifications are divided into 175/65R14 for the low trim and 180/60R15 for the mid-to-high trims. The main advantages of steel wheel hubs are their simple manufacturing process, relatively low cost, and strong resistance to metal fatigue. However, steel wheel hubs also have notable disadvantages, such as an unattractive appearance, heavy weight, high inertial resistance, poor heat dissipation, and a tendency to rust easily. Alloy wheel hubs can effectively address these issues. They are lighter in weight, have lower inertial resistance, and are manufactured with high precision, resulting in minimal deformation during high-speed rotation. This helps improve the vehicle's straight-line driving performance, reduces tire rolling resistance, and consequently lowers fuel consumption. The thermal conductivity of alloy materials is about three times that of steel, providing excellent heat dissipation, which benefits the vehicle's braking system, tires, and reduces thermal degradation of the braking system. Currently, most original equipment alloy wheel hubs on the market are primarily made of aluminum alloy. Of course, many aftermarket wheel hubs may use elements like chromium or titanium as base materials to meet specific performance requirements and enhance visual appeal.
