What is the simplest way to improve car audio?

The head unit should be a model that does not modify the signal in any way. When the signal is modified, its waveform becomes distorted, resulting in less-than-ideal music playback. Choose a head unit that supports CD, MD, or DVD. VCD offers poorer sound quality, so it's best to avoid it; MP3 is a compressed format and does not match the sound quality of CD. When selecting a model, pay attention to the frequency response specifications and avoid any additional sound modification features. Look for CD labels that indicate 20bit or 24bit. If you plan to drive the speakers directly from the head unit, choose speakers with higher output power.
