Car battery removal and installation sequence: 1. Turn off the ignition and remove the key; 2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the positive terminal protective cover; 3. Disconnect the positive battery terminal and remove the battery securing device; 4. Remove the battery, and perform the installation in reverse order. A car battery is a type of storage battery that converts chemical energy into electrical energy, including lead-acid batteries, nickel-iron batteries, and nickel-cadmium batteries. In a lead-acid battery, the positive electrode is lead dioxide, the negative electrode is lead, and the electrolyte is a dilute sulfuric acid solution. During discharge, the positive and negative electrodes react with sulfuric acid to form lead sulfate. When the sulfuric acid concentration drops to a certain level, the battery must be recharged. Using an external power source to recharge can restore the electrodes and solution to their original state, allowing the battery to be used again after charging.
