Light passenger vehicles and light goods vehicles both have a scrap life of 10 years, with mandatory scrapping at 15 years. For non-operational small vehicles, there is no scrap age limit, but after exceeding 15 years, they must undergo two inspections annually. Vehicles failing the inspection must be mandatorily scrapped. Non-operational: Non-operational passenger vehicles with 9 seats or fewer (including cars and off-road models) can be used for 15 years. If they meet the scrap standard but are required to continue use, no approval is needed. After passing inspection, their service life can be extended, with two annual inspections required. After exceeding 20 years, four annual inspections are required from the 21st year onward. Passenger vehicles: Tourist passenger vehicles and non-operational passenger vehicles with more than 9 seats can be used for 10 years. If they meet the scrap standard but are required to continue use, the current procedures apply, but the extension cannot exceed 10 years. Tourist passenger vehicles extended for scrapping require four annual inspections. Non-operational passenger vehicles with more than 9 seats extended for scrapping require two annual inspections, increasing to four annual inspections from the 16th year after exceeding 15 years.
