What is the repair method for hard brakes on the Great Wall H6?

Restart the engine. After the engine is running, the brake booster pump will resume operation, and the brake pedal will naturally return to normal. If there is no effect after restarting, then take it directly to a repair shop for inspection.
Last month, my Haval H6 also experienced the issue of hardened brakes, which took quite some effort to resolve. The main cause was an abnormal operation of the vacuum booster pump, leading to a stiff brake pedal. The repair process involves first checking if the brake fluid level is sufficient; if the reservoir is below the minimum mark, it needs to be topped up. Next, inspect the vacuum hose for leaks, especially the rubber section connected to the engine, as aging and cracking are common issues—replacing it costs just a few dozen yuan. If the booster pump itself is faulty, it requires a complete replacement, with labor and parts costing around five to six hundred yuan. Excessive wear on the brake pads can also make the pedal feel heavier, so it’s advisable to check the remaining thickness; if it’s below 3mm, replacement is necessary. After repairs, remember to test the brake feel by pressing the pedal several times in the parking lot to ensure it’s back to normal before hitting the road.
