Changan Oushang is a sub-brand under Changan. Here is the relevant content introduction: 1. Changan Oushang has many SUV and MPV models, including Oushang X7, Oushang X7EV, Oushang Kesai 3, Oushang Kesai 5, Oushang X70A, Oushang CX70, Oushang X5, etc. 2. Changan Oushang Auto is a new passenger car brand under the Changan Auto Group, relying on the global R&D, supplier system, and production manufacturing system of Changan Auto Group, aiming to provide driving and riding quality vehicles for Chinese 'big families'.

Changan Oushang is actually a brand under Changan Automobile. It primarily focused on commercial vehicles in the past but has gradually shifted to producing family cars. When I went to check out the cars, I noticed that Changan Oushang’s 4S stores are now integrated with Changan’s passenger vehicle division. Even the sales consultants mentioned that this is part of Changan’s dual-brand strategy. They share R&D platforms—for example, both the Changan Oushang Z6 and the Changan CS75 use the Blue Core powertrain. Although the logos are different, maintenance and servicing are all handled within Changan’s after-sales system. The recently launched Changan Oushang X5 PLUS even features Changan’s latest infotainment system, showing how the technologies are interconnected. Buying this car essentially means getting Changan’s technology at a higher value for money.

Both brands belong to the Changan Automobile Group. Changan Oushang was formerly known as Changan Commercial before transitioning to the passenger vehicle market. Last year when I accompanied a friend to buy a car, the salesperson directly mentioned that Changan and Oushang are now sold in the same showroom, and even share the same after-sales service workshop. Technically, they share the NE engine platform, and the chassis tuning is done by the same engineering team. Interestingly, the chassis structure of the Oushang X7 and the Changan CS55 is almost identical, with only differences in configuration and positioning. Currently, Oushang targets the cost-effective market, while the main Changan brand follows a premium route, but essentially, they are part of the same family.

Changan Automobile Group encompasses multiple brands, and Oshan is one of them. In fact, Changan's R&D center is currently responsible for product development for both brands, sharing the Blue Whale powertrain and Ark architecture. The workshop maintenance technicians told me that many spare parts are interchangeable. The 1.5T engine parameters of the recently launched Oshan Z6 and Changan UNI-T are exactly the same. I noticed a detail: the pipeline layout under the engine hood of both cars is basically identical. Of course, Oshan models are priced more affordably, as they target different consumer groups.

As a veteran car enthusiast studying automotive brands, Changan Oushang is indeed a sub-brand of Changan Automobile, similar to the relationship between Volkswagen and Skoda. During my factory visit last year, I observed the Oushang X5 and Changan Eado being assembled on the same production line. Most importantly, they share core powertrain technologies from Changan's Global R&D Center, such as the NE series engines. The integration is even more evident now with the consolidated 4S dealerships, where Changan logos are displayed at all service receptions. Notably, the intelligent driving system in Oushang's new models utilizes Changan's APA6.0 automatic parking technology, with software originating from the same source.
