What is the recovery method for the failure of one-touch window operation?

To prevent damage caused by overheating of the window lift motor, the window lift function may be temporarily disabled for a few seconds. Wait for the function to recover before operating again. If the issue is not due to the above reason, the failure of the Volkswagen Lavida window lift is usually caused by a damaged lift mechanism, which requires replacement. Abnormalities in the door control module, malfunction of the window lift control button, or insufficient battery power may also cause the issue. In such cases, disconnect and then reconnect the car battery.
Last week, my car's one-touch power window stopped working, and it took me a while to fix it. Actually, resetting it is quite simple, and most cars can do it themselves: Press and hold the window down button until the window is fully lowered, then continue holding for 10 to 15 seconds. Next, press and hold the window up button until the window is fully raised, and hold for another 10 to 15 seconds. This process allows the control module to relearn the window positions. If it still doesn’t work, it might be due to the battery not resetting after a power loss or a loose connector that needs to be securely plugged back in. Don’t rush to the repair shop—avoid frequently disconnecting the battery in daily use to prevent memory loss. When the power window fails, you can still operate it manually, but losing the one-touch function is quite inconvenient, especially when you want to quickly open the window for ventilation at a red light. Be careful when manually operating the window during rain or snow to avoid pinching your fingers if it slips.
