The 1.0L engine of the new Alto is recommended to use 5W-20 or 0W-20 viscosity engine oil. More details about the new Alto are as follows: 1. The new Alto is equipped with Suzuki's latest global K10B engine, which is one of the most advanced small-displacement engines worldwide. Featuring double overhead camshafts and a 1.0L displacement, this engine delivers a maximum power output of 52kW and a peak torque of 92Nm. This imported engine maintains excellent environmental standards with CO2 emissions of only 103g/km, meeting Euro IV emission standards. 2. The first impression of the new Alto is its rounded and smooth contours, complemented by aerodynamic and stylish, dynamic lines. Compared to the previous model, the most significant change is the departure from the flat and boxy shape. Particularly, the unique front fascia design presents a cute and fashionable appearance, completely different from the old model's conservative styling.

I've been driving this new Alto for over four years, always using 5W-30 engine oil. This grade is particularly suitable for the Alto's small-displacement engine - it maintains good fluidity during cold starts in winter and sufficient viscosity during high summer temperatures. During my last maintenance visit to the 4S shop, the technician said 5W-30 is the most worry-free choice for southern regions, while 0W-20 would be better for extremely cold areas like Northeast China. I typically change the oil every 8,000 kilometers, while also checking if the oil filter is clogged. The key is to use SL grade or higher - never buy counterfeit products just to save money. Nowadays, some e-commerce platform's self-operated brand oils offer great cost performance. After each oil change, I can clearly feel the engine running quieter, with fuel consumption stabilizing around 5L/100km. This money is well spent.

For the new Alto, using 5W-30 full synthetic oil is the safest choice, as clearly stated in the manual. Last time my car had a slight shake during cold start, the mechanic replaced it with Shell's 5W-30, and it immediately ran much smoother. Although mineral oil is cheaper, it's not recommended. Small-displacement engines require better cleaning and protection. In northern regions with temperatures as low as -20°C, consider 0W-20, but 5W-30 is suitable for most areas. The oil change interval depends on driving habits; if you frequently encounter traffic jams, change it at 7,000 kilometers. Once I encountered counterfeit oil, and the engine immediately lit up the fault light. I recommend everyone to check the anti-counterfeit code. By the way, always replace the oil filter when changing the oil, otherwise, mixing new oil with old impurities makes the change pointless.

I've owned three Alto cars, and using the right engine oil is crucial. My current one uses 0W-20 full synthetic oil, which starts right up even at -30°C in northern winters. Generally, 5W-30 is recommended as it offers moderate viscosity and adequate protection, which is what most Japanese cars use. Before long summer trips, I always check the oil level and top it up if needed. Don't exceed 8,000 km between oil changes, or sludge buildup can damage the engine. Last time at the dealership, I saw someone using the wrong oil type causing valve noise, costing over 800 yuan to fix. Remember to buy API-certified oil with SN or SP ratings on the packaging. If changing oil yourself, be careful not to overtighten the oil pan drain bolt, as aluminum oil pans are prone to thread stripping.

Where is the oil filler port on a Wrangler?

The oil filler port on a Wrangler is located in the engine compartment. Open the engine hood and unscrew the oil cap counterclockwise to add oil. Functions of engine oil: 1. Lubrication and friction reduction: There is rapid relative sliding between the piston and cylinder, as well as between the main shaft and bearing shells. To prevent excessive wear on parts, an oil film needs to be established between the two sliding surfaces. A sufficiently thick oil film separates the surfaces of relatively sliding parts, thereby reducing wear. 2. Cooling: Engine oil carries heat back to the oil tank and dissipates it into the air, helping the radiator cool the engine. 3. Cleaning: Good quality engine oil can carry carbon deposits, sludge, and worn metal particles from engine parts back to the oil tank through circulation. The flow of lubricating oil washes away dirt generated on the working surfaces of parts. 4. Sealing and leak prevention: Engine oil can form a sealing ring between the piston rings and piston, reducing gas leakage and preventing external contaminants from entering.

Is Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Maintenance Necessary?

Automobile engine wiring maintenance is necessary. Here are the relevant introductions: 1. Wiring harness aging: Common engine wiring harnesses are generally composed of multiple strands of copper wires, wrapped externally with plastic. During daily driving, the engine compartment temperature is very high. The plastic covering the wiring harness will release plasticizers and other chemicals when heated, which react with the internal copper wires, leading to reduced plastic strength, increased copper wire resistance, and ultimately causing the wiring harness to age and pose a short-circuit risk. Rubber hoses in the engine compartment belong to unsaturated polymer hydrocarbons, and aged rubber is also prone to oxidation, which can cause vehicle self-ignition. 2. Engine wiring oil contamination: Oil contamination on engine wiring significantly affects the engine's working quality and efficiency, leading to abnormal vibrations, increased noise, insufficient power, decreased fuel economy, and greatly shortened vehicle lifespan. Therefore, for older vehicles' engines and wiring, regular maintenance is even more essential to extend their service life as much as possible.

What are the ignition methods of automobile engines?

Automobile engine ignition methods can be divided into compression ignition and spark ignition. Here are the detailed descriptions: 1. Compression ignition: This is an ignition method corresponding to diesel engines. Diesel engines use diesel as fuel. Compared with gasoline, diesel has a lower auto-ignition temperature, higher viscosity, and is less prone to evaporation. Moreover, diesel engines themselves do not have spark plugs, and their compression ratio is higher than that of gasoline engines. Therefore, diesel engines rely on the compression stroke to compress the mixture to the ignition point, causing it to ignite automatically, hence this ignition method is called compression ignition. 2. Spark ignition: This is an ignition method corresponding to gasoline engines. The auto-ignition temperature of gasoline is higher than that of diesel, and it has lower viscosity and is easier to evaporate. Therefore, it can form a uniform mixture with air outside the cylinder, or the injection system can directly inject gasoline into the cylinder. Then, near the end of the compression stroke, the mixture is ignited by the spark plug, hence this ignition method is called spark ignition.

How to turn on the rear air conditioning in a Lexus ES?

There is no air conditioning switch in the rear of the Lexus ES, only air vents. To open them, simply roll the middle wheel upwards. Below are the benefits of rear air conditioning: 1. Comfort: Provides a more comfortable riding space. In summer, there is often an experience where front passengers feel uncomfortably cold while rear passengers are still sweating profusely. The main reason is the lack of rear air conditioning. The front air conditioning can only lower the temperature in the front, and it takes time for the rear temperature to drop, leading to a stark temperature difference between the front and rear. The presence of independent rear air conditioning allows both front and rear temperatures to drop simultaneously, creating a better driving and riding environment. 2. Premium Feel: Enhances the car's grade. The inclusion of independent rear air conditioning elevates the car's interior to a higher level, as it is typically found only in high-end vehicles. Having rear independent air conditioning can instantly upgrade the car's interior.
