Cleaning. First, use clean water and a soft cloth to clean the scratched area, removing dust and impurities. Then, use a cleaning agent to clean the scratched area and the surrounding regions. Sanding. Take the prepared sandpaper, dip it in water, and sand the scratched area to smooth out the paint as much as possible. Special attention is needed: if there are deep scratches, they must be removed and treated properly. After painting, the surface should return to its original state. Leveling. If the scratched area is uneven, use putty to level it, filling the depressed parts as much as possible to facilitate painting and avoid affecting the final result. Protection. Cover the surrounding areas of the part to be painted with newspapers or other protective materials to avoid overspray. Additionally, it's best to wear gloves and a mask to prevent staining your hands or inhaling fumes. Painting. Before painting, conduct a test by spraying on another metal object to check for color differences. When spraying, the nozzle should not be too close, and it's not necessary to cover the area in one go. You can spray in three or four passes, allowing the paint to dry slightly between each pass, with intervals of about five to six minutes. Fine-tuning. After painting, don't rush. Once the paint is dry, if the junction between the repaired area and the original area is not satisfactory, use fine sandpaper dipped in water to carefully sand it for a more natural appearance. Waxing. After completing all steps, clean the area once more and finally apply wax. Of course, this is only suitable for minor scratches. If you're too lazy to repair it, you can give it a try.
