What is the process for installing ETC?

ETC installation process is as follows: Upon receiving the device, first check if the ETC card and the electronic tag (OBU) are damaged. Press the anti-tamper button on the back of the OBU. A red light will briefly illuminate, and the OLED screen will display 'Label Invalid' and 'Please Insert Card,' indicating the device is functioning normally. Clean the front windshield to ensure the glass surface is smooth, clean, and dry. Then, peel off the protective film on the back of the OBU adhesive and stick it to the installation position. Press firmly with your hand for 2-3 minutes to remove any air bubbles. Insert the ETC card with the front side facing the driver and the back side facing the windshield, ensuring the chip is inserted into the OBU device.
Installing an ETC device is actually quite simple. I applied directly through my bank's app, filled in my license plate and ID information online, and received the device in three days. After opening the package, I first checked if the card and device were complete, then used a clean cloth to wipe the area behind the rearview mirror on the windshield—the optimal installation spot. I peeled off the adhesive backing of the ETC device, pressed it firmly onto the glass for 30 seconds to ensure it stuck securely. Next, I inserted the card, heard a 'beep,' and activated it by connecting to the device via Bluetooth on my phone. A friend advised me to confirm beforehand that the windshield doesn’t have a metal film, as it could interfere with the signal. The whole process took just 15 minutes, and now I breeze through toll booths without queuing—it’s fantastic.
