What is the painting process?

Before starting the painting work, it is necessary to first apply the primer coat. During the operation, it is essential to prepare a smooth and intact working surface, appropriately increasing the adhesion of the interface layer to ensure the quality of the topcoat. The topcoat painting is usually divided into single-layer painting and multi-layer painting. Single-layer paint is commonly referred to as solid color paint, which determines the color and provides protection.
The painting process is quite meticulous, and I've been doing this for years. First, the car must be washed thoroughly to remove dust and grease, using a high-pressure water gun to rinse it clean. After drying, coarse sandpaper is used to grind off the old paint and rust. Fill any uneven areas with putty, wait for it to dry, and then smooth it out with fine sandpaper. Next, cover and protect areas not to be painted, such as windows and tires, using tape and newspaper. Apply a primer as a base, spraying a thin layer and waiting a few minutes. After ensuring there are no defects, apply the topcoat in two thin layers to prevent running. Once dry, apply a clear coat to add gloss and protect against scratches. Finally, place the car in a drying room to bake. After cooling, polish to fix any minor imperfections. The entire process requires good ventilation, and safety comes first—wear a gas mask and gloves. Adjust the spray gun pressure to ensure even application and avoid wasting paint.
