Operating procedure for an automatic transmission car: 1. After the driver sits in the driver's seat, there is no need to press the brake pedal; simply press the start button once. 2. At this point, the ACC light will turn on. Press the button once more, and the vehicle will begin a self-check (for models equipped with a one-touch start function). 3. For mechanical key switches, turn the ignition key to the second position, to the ACC (Accessory) position, allowing the car's computer system to start self-checking for at least 6 seconds or more. 4. Press the brake pedal and then press the start button again to ignite and start the engine. 5. For mechanical keys, directly turn the ignition key to the ON position to start the engine. 6. Release the foot brake and let the car warm up in place for 1 to 3 minutes. 7. Turn on the turn signal, press the foot brake again, shift to D (Drive) gear, and release the handbrake (for electronic handbrakes, simply press the button). 8. Slowly release the foot brake, gently press the accelerator to start moving, and straighten the turn signal.
I usually drive automatic transmissions a lot. The first thing I do when getting in the car is to press the brake pedal to start the engine, with the gear defaulting to P (Park). Then, I use my right hand to pull the gear lever to the D (Drive) position, release the brake, and the car slowly moves forward without needing to press the accelerator—it creeps on its own. For reversing, just stop the car first, then shift to R (Reverse). On the road, there's no need to worry about shifting gears, as the system automatically changes gears based on speed. At a red light, just press the brake to stop; if stopping for more than a minute, I casually shift to N (Neutral) and engage the electronic parking brake. Upon reaching the destination, stop the car, shift to P (Park), turn off the engine, remove the key, and exit. The whole process is incredibly smooth, especially in traffic jams where the left foot is completely free.
