It is derived from ethylene and propylene dispersed from natural gas or crude oil gas, which are then polymerized and catalyzed through complex chemical reactions to form a lubricating fluid composed of large molecules. Essentially, it uses the superior components of crude oil, undergoes chemical reactions, and achieves the desired molecular structure under human control. Full synthetic oil has neatly arranged molecules, strong resistance to external variables, excellent thermal stability, oxidation resistance, and viscosity change resistance compared to mineral and semi-synthetic oils, but it is also the most expensive.
I've been driving my Yaris for several years and found that the oil models are mostly viscosity specifications like 5W-30, such as API SN or SP grades.
