What is the normal valve clearance for the Geely 4G15 engine?

Geely 4G15 engine valve clearance is recommended to be 0.03 for intake and 0.05 for exhaust. It is best to adjust when the engine is cold, otherwise the error will be significant. Introduction to valve clearance: The gap between the end of the valve stem and the components of the valve transmission group is called valve clearance. Origin of valve clearance: When the engine is running, the valves will expand due to the increase in temperature. If there is no gap or the gap is too small between the valve and its transmission components in the cold state, the thermal expansion of the valve and its transmission components in the hot state will inevitably cause the valve to not close tightly, leading to gas leakage during the compression and power strokes, thereby reducing power output. In severe cases, it may even make the engine difficult to start. To eliminate this phenomenon, a certain gap is usually left between the valve and its transmission mechanism during cold assembly of the engine to compensate for the expansion of the valve when heated. This gap is called valve clearance.
