Conversely, a good ignition performance, short ignition delay period, uniform combustion, and stable operation are achieved. However, an excessively high cetane number can lead to incomplete local combustion and black smoke. 2. The evaluation indicators for volatility are distillation range and flash point. A lower 50% evaporation temperature indicates more light fractions in the oil, making the diesel engine easier to start. Lower 90% and 95% evaporation temperatures indicate fewer heavy fractions in the oil. The national standard stipulates that the flash point of -35 and -50 light diesel should not be lower than 45°C. 3. The evaluation indicators for fluidity are viscosity, freezing point, and cold filter plugging point.
