The method to start the ignition for the Atenza is to press the brake pedal and then press the one-touch start button to ignite. The Atenza lineup includes models such as the 2020 Skyactiv-G Fashion Edition, 2020 Skyactiv-G Luxury Edition, 2020 Skyactiv-G Premium Edition, 2020 Skyactiv-G Sport Edition, and 2020 Skyactiv-G Supreme Edition. Taking the 2020 Skyactiv-G Fashion Edition Atenza as an example, its body dimensions are: 4870mm in length, 1840mm in width, and 1445mm in height, with a fuel tank capacity of 56.2 liters, a minimum ground clearance of 162mm, a trunk capacity of 483 liters, and a curb weight of 1518kg.
Starting the Atenza is something I'm very familiar with, as I drive an older key version. Usually, I get into the car, make sure the seat is adjusted properly, then firmly press the brake pedal with my right foot (a must for automatic transmissions), insert the key with my left hand and gently turn it all the way, and the engine roars to life. For the newer Atenza with push-button start, the key needs to be on your person. After closing the door, firmly press the brake and simply press the start button near the steering wheel with your fingertip. During cold starts in winter, I preheat for a few seconds to avoid excessive engine load; after starting, I immediately glance at the dashboard to check for any abnormal warning lights. Remember, the gear must be in the P position for safety; for manual transmissions, don’t forget to press the clutch. Battery health is crucial—I check it weekly to avoid getting stranded.
