The method to reset the maintenance light on the new Haval H6 is: Turn on the ignition without starting the engine, press the reset button, select the option that needs to be reset, and then press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds. Some vehicles' maintenance system reset cannot be performed using the in-car function buttons and instead require the use of a professional diagnostic computer for reset. The new Haval H6 creates a near-perfect body posture, using dynamic micro-curves to outline the side profile of the vehicle, creating a sharp and poised stance ready to take off; LED intelligent headlights, wrapped wheel arch design, ultra-cool and dynamic, pursuing technology and a futuristic feel while balancing grandeur and stability.

It's been almost a year since I got my new Haval H6, and resetting the maintenance light last time went pretty smoothly. After turning off the engine, don't press the brake pedal, just press the start button twice to power up the dashboard. Find the button with a square symbol on the left side of the steering wheel, hold it until the wrench icon appears. Then the dashboard will show maintenance options, use the up and down arrows on the right side of the steering wheel to select oil life, and press the right scroll wheel for about 5 seconds until the percentage changes to 100%. This method works on my 2023 model's system, heard that older models require stepping on the accelerator three times or something, luckily the new model doesn't need such hassle. Oh, and remember to turn off the AC during the operation, otherwise it might interfere with the signal.

Last week, I just helped my neighbor with his H6 third-generation. The steps vary slightly for different model years, so focus on the steering wheel button layout. First, turn the vehicle's power to the ON position without starting the engine, then locate the menu button and scroll wheel on the right side of the steering wheel. Use the menu button to navigate to the settings page, find the maintenance option, and enter the submenu via the scroll wheel. At this point, select 'Reset Maintenance Cycle' or 'Reset Oil Life.' For the latest models, the right-side scroll wheel functions as both a directional key and a confirmation button—just long-press after selecting the reset option to complete the process. The key is to exit the menu immediately after the system confirms the reset, otherwise, it might be overwritten by a background refresh. The dealership technician mentioned that the vehicle automatically calibrates once a month, so after a manual reset, remember not to press any buttons randomly before the next maintenance.

A mechanic who frequently services domestic cars taught me this: Resetting the H6 after 2021 is actually quite simple. First, power on the vehicle without starting the engine, then navigate to the maintenance page using the steering wheel controls. The key is to use the VIEW button in the right control area to switch tabs and find the remaining oil life section. At this point, hold down the volume confirmation button until the progress bar completes. Some owners fail because: 1. They didn't turn off the auto start-stop feature. 2. The battery voltage is unstable. 3. The operation wasn't completed within 60 seconds. Important note: For models with paddle shifters, the reset position is near the paddles. The old method of triple-pressing the accelerator pedal was phased out after 2022. If all else fails, refer to the manual on page 137 for an illustrated guide.

Haval Club Members' Practical Testing Method: Press and hold the 0.0 button (trip meter reset button) at the lower right corner of the instrument panel while turning the key to the ACC position. Do not release when you see the indicator light flashing—continue holding until the maintenance icon disappears before starting the engine. However, this method only applies to 2019-2020 models with mechanical instrument clusters. For newer models with LCD instrument panels, you need to enter engineering mode: after powering on, press the mileage toggle button five times consecutively to access the hidden menu and select Service Reset. For those who have modified the central control screen, be aware that aftermarket head units may block the OEM signal lines—it's recommended to disconnect any added devices before proceeding. After resetting, remember to drive two kilometers to allow the system to self-check and confirm.

My friend in auto repair explained the principle: The maintenance light is essentially a timer in the vehicle's computer. For post-2017 H6 models, here's the recommended procedure: Turn the ignition to the second position to power the dashboard → Turn off the headlights and air conditioning → Use the left steering wheel buttons to navigate to the maintenance page → Press the VIEW button to scroll to the oil item → Hold the button at the top of the turn signal stalk for 6 seconds. The tricky part is that button positions vary by trim: On Platinum editions it's at the stalk tip, while Champion editions have a separate button array. A confirmation tone indicates success, while failures usually occur when the 30-second operation window is missed. It's advised to perform this when the engine is cold - the ECU may reject data writes when the vehicle is warm.

Is it safe to leave a power bank in the car during summer?

It is unsafe to leave a power bank in the car during summer. Here are the details: 1. Reason: Most power banks contain lithium batteries, which are highly prone to explosion when exposed to sunlight in a confined car environment where temperatures can exceed 80°C. Therefore, it is best not to leave a power bank in the car, especially for extended periods, as it poses significant safety hazards. 2. Power bank introduction: A power bank is a device that can directly charge mobile devices and has its own energy storage unit. The main types available in the market are multifunctional power banks, most of which come with standard USB outputs. They can generally meet the charging needs of various common mobile devices such as smartphones, MP3 players, MP4 players, PDAs, PSPs, Bluetooth headsets, digital cameras, and other digital products. Essentially, a power bank is a convenient, portable, high-capacity power source. It is a portable device that integrates energy storage, voltage boosting, and charging management.

How Long After Expiration Will Traffic Cameras Capture the Vehicle?

Traffic cameras will capture vehicles that have exceeded 3 inspection cycles. Here are the details: 1. Traffic Camera Capture: Any vehicle with expired inspection may be captured by traffic cameras. Some cameras can specifically identify expired vehicles, with the most common being shared cameras on highways. When a car passes through a highway toll station, the toll booth's camera will photograph the vehicle and transmit the image to the backend for comparison with the traffic police database. If the vehicle's inspection has expired, the system will trigger an alert, and officers will conduct targeted checks at the exit. Passenger cars can be overdue for up to 3 inspection cycles. If the delay does not exceed 3 cycles, the vehicle can still undergo annual inspection, but exceeding this limit will result in mandatory scrapping. 2. Penalties for Expired Inspection: Less than 3 months overdue: The traffic management authorities will issue a verbal warning without penalties, and the vehicle can proceed with normal annual inspection procedures; Between 3 months and 2 years overdue: A fine and 3 penalty points will be imposed, after which the vehicle can enter the normal annual inspection process; Over 2 years overdue: The vehicle's registration will be canceled, requiring a cumbersome process and payment of fines to reinstate it; Exceeding 3 cycles: The vehicle will be mandatorily scrapped.

How Many Types of Materials Are There for Car Body Color Change Films?

Car color change films are generally divided into three types: PVC, TPU, and Vinyl. 1. PVC Material: PVC, also known as polyvinyl chloride, is primarily used for car color change films due to its hardness, which provides protection for the car body. However, this level of protection gradually weakens over time due to exposure to wind and sunlight. Therefore, even if a car uses a color change film, maintenance is still necessary. 2. TPU Material: According to industry experts, the biggest advantage of TPU material is its ability to maintain good protective performance for the car body even in extremely cold or hot conditions, with minimal damage to the film itself. Most color change films made from this material are produced by foreign brands. 3. Vinyl Material: Vinyl, also known as ethylene, is durable, flexible, and easy to use, offering a wider range of colors and surface finishes. Vinyl films can produce color change film products that look as good as, or even better than, high-quality paint. Applying vinyl film to a car exterior provides three main benefits. First, it offers superior protection for the car's original paint compared to other materials. Second, it enables colors and finishes that car manufacturers cannot provide, including metallic, matte, carbon fiber, and even chrome finishes, which can be combined with any color. Third, vinyl film is easy to care for, requiring only soap and water for cleaning.

What does TSS 2.0 mean?

TSS 2.0 is the abbreviation for the second-generation Toyota Safety Sense collision avoidance assistance package. Here are the relevant details: 1. It includes LDA (Lane Departure Alert), AHB (Automatic High Beam), DRCC (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, upgraded to full-speed range), PCS (Pre-Collision System), and LTA (Lane Tracing Assist, with vehicle following function). TSS 2.0 adds LTA and upgrades DRCC to full-speed range radar cruise compared to the first generation. 2. The Pre-Collision System utilizes a front millimeter-wave radar and monocular camera to detect pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles during the day, and pedestrians and vehicles at night. The system activates when the vehicle speed exceeds 10 km/h. For pedestrians and bicycles, PCS operates within a speed range of 10–80 km/h, supporting collision avoidance or damage mitigation when the speed difference with pedestrians is approximately 40 km/h. For stationary vehicles, the system supports collision avoidance or accident mitigation when the vehicle speed is around 50 km/h. When the system detects an imminent collision, it issues an alert and applies braking measures to minimize collision damage.

How to Test Whether an Oxygen Sensor is Good or Bad?

Methods for testing the quality of an oxygen sensor are as follows: 1. The color observation method can be used to determine the condition. The normal color of the oxygen sensor tip is light gray. Any change in the color of the sensor tip indicates a fault or potential issue with the oxygen sensor. A black-tipped oxygen sensor is caused by carbon contamination; it should be removed and the carbon deposits cleaned off. If the sensor tip appears reddish-brown, it indicates lead contamination, which results from the use of leaded gasoline in the vehicle. 2. Measure the resistance value of the oxygen sensor to assess its condition. After the engine reaches normal operating temperature, disconnect the oxygen sensor's wiring connector and use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the sensor's terminals. The resistance value should meet the standard specifications for the specific vehicle model (typically around 440 ohms). If the resistance value does not meet the requirements, the oxygen sensor should be replaced. 3. Use an automotive diagnostic scanner to check the oxygen sensor. Start the engine and allow it to warm up until the coolant temperature reaches 80°C. Observe the voltage readings from the oxygen sensor on the scanner—the voltage should fluctuate continuously between 0V and 1V. The faster the fluctuation frequency, the better the sensor's performance. If the voltage remains at 0V or 1V without any change, it indicates that the sensor is aged or malfunctioning and needs replacement.
