What is the method to judge a 1.5-meter distance between the right side of the car body and the sideline?

There is a dashed line in the reversing test area where you start reversing. You can use this line to maintain a 1.5-meter distance from the sideline. When the vehicle is 1.5 meters away from the left sideline, your eyes and the highest point of the steering wheel should align with the left side of the third segment of the dashed line. Here are some tips for reversing into the parking space: Keep a close eye on the rearview mirrors: During the reversing test in Subject 2, always keep an eye on the left and right rearview mirrors. If you notice one side is wider, slightly turn the steering wheel in that direction to prevent the other side from crossing the line. Also, when initially finding the right moment to turn the steering wheel fully, make sure to turn it decisively without hesitation. Maintain distance between the wheel and the corner of the parking space: When reversing with the steering wheel fully turned, the rear of the car gradually enters the parking space. Before fully entering, the wheel should maintain a 30cm distance from the corner of the parking space. Students must constantly observe from the rearview mirror and make adjustments if the distance is less or more than 30cm; otherwise, the car will definitely cross the line after entering the parking space.
I usually rely on the rearview mirror to judge when parking on the right. After straightening the car, I look down at the right rearview mirror. When the car body occupies about half of the mirror's view, the distance is roughly around 1.5 meters. This method is especially suitable for high-ground-clearance vehicles like SUVs, as you can see clearly from the driver's seat. Just remember to adjust the mirror position beforehand and avoid setting the angle too skewed. New drivers can develop muscle memory after practicing this method a few times. If the lines are unclear on rainy days, roadside trees or barriers can also serve as reference points.
Here's a super simple trick: check from the passenger seat! After parking, lean out the passenger window and observe the distance between the end of the right front door handle and the curb. Typically, the handle end is about a dozen centimeters away from the car's side edge, so when the handle end is 1.3 meters from the curb, the entire car body is roughly 1.5 meters away. This method works especially well for sedans—just make sure the car is parallel to the curb. Try it a few times at red lights; it's even more intuitive than using the side mirrors.
