To reset the tire pressure on the Emgrand GS, follow these steps: First, turn on the ignition switch, then press and hold the tire pressure monitoring reset button. After hearing a "beep" sound, release the button. The tire pressure monitoring system will then store the current normal tire pressure data, automatically clear the previous data, and finally, the dashboard warning light will turn off, indicating the tire pressure reset is complete. There are generally three reasons for abnormal tire pressure: Abnormal tire pressure: The system will typically alert when the pressure is below 1.8 bar or above 3.0 bar. In such cases, inspect the tires and adjust the pressure accordingly. Tire pressure monitoring not reset: If the tire pressure is not reset promptly after inflating the tires, the system will still record the previous data, causing the tire pressure monitoring indicator to light up. Simply perform a tire pressure reset to resolve this issue. Damaged tire pressure sensor: The tire pressure sensor, which monitors tire pressure, is installed inside the tire and connected to the tire inflation valve. If the sensor is damaged due to impact while driving, it can also trigger the tire pressure warning light. In case of sensor damage, the only solution is to replace it with a new component.
