Tire is the general term for tires, usually made of wear-resistant rubber materials, divided into solid tires and pneumatic tires. Pneumatic tires consist of inner and outer tires. Car tires are one of the important components of a car, directly in contact with the road surface, working together with the car suspension to mitigate the impact during driving, ensuring good ride comfort and smooth driving, guaranteeing good adhesion between the wheels and the road surface, and improving the car's traction, braking, and passability.

Once when driving on freshly laid asphalt, my tires got covered in tar, making annoying squeaky noises which was really unpleasant. After getting home, I first rinsed the tire surfaces with warm water to soften the tar, then mixed dish soap with water to make a foaming solution and gently scrubbed with a stiff-bristled brush. For stubborn spots, I sprayed some WD-40, let it penetrate for a few minutes, then thoroughly wiped clean. The whole process took half an hour, but the tires looked brand new without damaging the tread. Now I'm extra careful about parking near construction zones, especially in summer heat when tar sticks easily. Regular tire inspections are crucial - uncleaned tar affects traction and could even cause blowouts. My advice: don't slack off. Rinse the tire undersides during regular car washes - prevention is better than cure.

When encountering tar sticking to tires, my experience is to try several gentle methods. First, spray a dedicated car cleaner onto the affected area, wait for 5 minutes to soften it, then wipe it clean with a damp cloth or sponge, avoiding excessive force to prevent scratching the tire surface. Another trick is to drive a short distance to warm up the tires and immediately rinse them with cold water—the thermal expansion and contraction will make the tar come off more easily. For particularly stubborn tar, use a hot air blower to soften it before removal. Remember to check the fuses or electrical circuits to ensure they don’t interfere with the tire cleaning equipment. Prevention is key for such issues—rinse the tires thoroughly during every car wash to reduce the risk of adhesion. Prompt cleaning ensures that the tire grip doesn’t degrade during braking.

Last time my tires got asphalt on them, I drove straight to the car wash. The high-pressure water jet removed most of the surface residue, and for stubborn spots, I just sprayed some regular car cleaner to soften it before scrubbing. The whole process was quick, taking only 20 minutes. If not cleaned, asphalt can corrode the tire rubber and reduce its lifespan. I've developed a habit of regularly checking tire conditions and avoiding newly paved road sections when parking. Simple and hassle-free, safety first.
