"Neutral" laundry detergent, a basin, a soft-bristled toothbrush, a shower faucet that can produce hot water, and a clean towel. Carefully study the helmet structure, then remove all detachable parts. Place the removed inner lining in warm water, add neutral laundry detergent or baby bath liquid, soak for about ten minutes, then scrub and clean. Use the cleaning power of your hands and warm water to remove dust and insect remains attached to the windshield. Use facial cleansing products to eliminate minor scratches. Clean the dust and insect remains on the exterior of the helmet. If debris is stuck in the air vents, you can choose to flush it out with water or use a toothpick to pick it out.

Just washed my full-face helmet a couple of days ago, sharing some tips. First rinse off surface dust with cold water, treat the visor separately by gently wiping with mild detergent mixed with warm water using a soft cloth - never use alcohol as it damages the anti-fog coating! Remove detachable liners and soak them in laundry detergent, paying special attention to scrubbing the forehead contact areas. For non-removable liners, use a soft-bristled brush dipped in detergent to gently scrub (a toothbrush works great). Remember to air-dry all components in shade, never in direct sunlight. Spray some antibacterial spray before reassembly - after all, the helmet sits directly against your face.

Safety-conscious riders pay extra attention to hygiene details: Keep a bottle of helmet-specific cleaner handy—the foaming type that penetrates fibers to kill bacteria and eliminate odors. After removing the visor, wipe it with an anti-static cloth to prevent scratches. Clean the liner and then use disinfecting wipes to scrub the helmet's inner hard shell, using cotton swabs dipped in alcohol for hard-to-reach areas. The key is to ensure thorough drying, as a damp environment can breed bacteria and cause skin issues.

Treat as valuable items: Use a soft-bristled brush to remove insect remains from the shell, and turn the lining inside out to shake off dander. Clean the lining with cotton wipes moistened with baby shampoo, which is gentle and non-irritating to the skin. The cleaning cycle should not exceed half a month, as accumulated sweat stains can corrode the cushioning layer. Keep away from perfumes and hairsprays when storing, as chemical solvents can corrode the polycarbonate shell.
