What is the method for applying roof wrap film?

Clean the car body and keep it dry. Remove the decorative strips on the roof. Determine the exact position where the film needs to be applied. Generally, apply the film slowly while using a tool to smooth it out and peel off the backing paper simultaneously. If the graphic is relatively small, you can also peel off both the transparent transfer film and the sticker entirely before applying. However, be very careful to avoid accidental adhesion. After application, repeatedly press and smooth it several times. Then remove the transparent transfer film. Use a utility knife to make a cut at the doors and seams, then tuck the edges inward neatly. Ensure that the wrap film does not separate or bulge from the car body at any point.
Roof wrapping is actually quite fun. I've done it a few times, and I think the key lies in the preparation work. First, you need to thoroughly clean the roof, using alcohol or dish soap to remove all dust and grease, otherwise the film won't stick properly and may peel off easily. Then, measure the dimensions and cut the film slightly larger than the roof to leave some edges. Prepare tools like a spray bottle with water and a small amount of dish soap for the installation solution, a squeegee, and a heat gun or hairdryer for handling the corners. When applying, spray some installation solution on the roof and the film, align the position, then slowly lay it flat, starting from the center and using the squeegee to push outward to remove air bubbles. Finally, use the heat gun to soften and press the edges firmly, and let it dry for a few hours to cure. Remember to choose between matte or glossy film based on your preference, which can also protect the car paint from UV rays. With some DIY practice, you'll get the hang of it after a few tries.
