Mercedes-Benz Individual mode is a customizable driving mode. In this mode, you can independently configure settings such as power, steering, start-stop, and air conditioning in the vehicle's central control to meet each driver's personalized needs. This mode is controlled by the engine computer and can be activated via buttons in the car. There are no speed restrictions, and you can freely switch between modes as long as it is safe to do so. Other driving modes in Mercedes-Benz vehicles: E Mode: Short for ECO (Economy) mode, this is the most fuel-efficient and energy-saving option. It is suitable for normal driving on well-paved roads and can be selected under various conditions. In E mode, the throttle response is slower and less aggressive, with no immediate noticeable effect when pressing the pedal. Additionally, the car's air conditioning system operates in its most energy-efficient mode. C Mode: Short for Comfort mode, this is ideal for relaxed and comfortable driving on urban roads. C mode prioritizes smoothness, ensuring gentle power delivery whether starting up or cruising on the road, with seamless steering response. S Mode: Short for Sport mode, this is suitable for driving on suburban roads or highways. In S mode, the car's powertrain responds more sharply, though gear shifts are slightly delayed. The start-stop function remains enabled by default. S+ Mode: Short for Sport+ (Extreme Sport) mode, this is designed for high-speed overtaking and aggressive driving. Compared to S mode, gear shifts are even quicker, but there may be noticeable jerks at low speeds. The start-stop function is disabled in this mode.
The Individual mode is a driving setting option in Mercedes-Benz vehicles that allows me to customize driving details. In the Mercedes central control system, I can select Individual and then personalize engine response—for example, setting it to Sport for strong acceleration or Eco for fuel efficiency. I can also adjust the steering feel (light or heavy), suspension stiffness (soft or hard), and automatic climate control. I love this mode because it flexibly matches my driving habits. For instance, during city commuting, I set the engine to Comfort for a smoother ride and the suspension to Sport for a firmer, more stable feel. On the highway, switching everything to Sport makes driving more exhilarating. This is an all-around mode with no fixed limitations, suitable for various road conditions, giving me a greater sense of control. I find it more engaging than Comfort mode but not overly aggressive.
