ME7 is the first pure electric SUV launched by Skywell Auto in September 2020. Skywell Auto was established in 2015, and after five years of development, the ME7 was designed. In terms of intelligent technology, the ME7 is equipped with five screens inside the car: a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel, a 15.6-inch central control screen, a 12.3-inch co-pilot entertainment screen, and two 12.8-inch rear entertainment screens. The three high-definition screens in the front row are closely connected with the ambient lighting of the starry sky. Among these five screens, through online operation, passengers in the rear can borrow the screen to set navigation routes from the driver's seat or share images throughout the vehicle. The Skywell ME7 is equipped with the latest generation of permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a maximum output power of 160kW, a maximum torque of 330N, and a maximum rotation speed of 12000rpm, ensuring an ultra-long range of 530 kilometers. In addition, the Skywell ME7 also features designs such as a smoked sports package and full-series standard LED lights.

As a car enthusiast, I must say that ME7 is actually an abbreviation or misspelling of the AITO M7, an extended-range electric SUV jointly developed by Seres Motors and Huawei. This vehicle is highly advanced in terms of technology: it features the HarmonyOS intelligent cockpit system, which operates as smoothly as a tablet; the powertrain is an extended-range electric system, providing zero-emission electric driving under normal conditions, but when the battery is low, a small range extender kicks in to supply power, enabling a range of over 1,100 km; its intelligent driving assistance functions are also robust, including adaptive cruise control and automatic parking. The vehicle has a large body size, making it suitable for family trips, and it boasts a high-strength steel frame and multiple airbags for safety. I test-drove the 2023 model and found it to have quick acceleration and quiet operation; the downside is that its heavy weight affects handling, but overall, it represents technological innovation.

As an ordinary car owner, I find the AITO M7 (often referred to as ME7) quite impressive for daily use. This mid-to-large SUV offers spacious interiors, and the six-seater version is perfect for family trips. Its core feature is the range-extended electric system: it's economical and quiet in the city with electric power, and eliminates range anxiety on long trips with fuel. The driving experience is comfortable, with well-cushioned seats and suspension that absorbs minor bumps; the HarmonyOS infotainment system is responsive, and voice control is practical. For maintenance, Huawei's extensive service network ensures convenient and low-cost upkeep; however, the new car price is relatively high at around 250,000 RMB. I recommend it to family users because it balances practicality and economy while eliminating range anxiety associated with pure EVs. The downside is its large size, making parking challenging, but fortunately, the assistance systems help. Overall, it has transformed my travel habits.

As a young car enthusiast, the ME7 left a deep impression on me—it's the AITO M7. The car boasts a stylish exterior: a streamlined body paired with LED light clusters, and a smart cabin featuring a large screen inside. The voice assistant responds quickly, making navigation and music playback convenient. The electric powertrain ensures swift and quiet starts, while the extended-range design eliminates range anxiety, making long trips without frequent charging possible. The intelligent driving features are impressive, with safe and reliable automatic lane-changing assistance. Priced around 300,000 RMB, it's not cheap but offers more flexibility and lower maintenance compared to pure EVs. I've discussed it often with friends—buying it reflects a taste for technology. I recommend it to young groups for its modern design and enjoyable driving experience.

Can I install ETC without using it?

It is possible to install ETC without using it. According to the regulations of the State Council, vehicles that have not installed or are not using ETC by 2020 will not enjoy toll discounts. In the future, only one manual lane will be retained at highway toll stations, and tolls can only be paid through manual channels. How ETC works: Through the onboard electronic tag installed on the vehicle's windshield, dedicated short-range communication is established with the microwave antenna in the ETC lane at the toll station. Computer networking technology is used for backend settlement processing with the bank, allowing vehicles to pass through highway or bridge toll stations without stopping while paying the tolls. ETC deduction principle: The toll amount for ETC vehicles is rounded according to the "round down if less than 0.5, no change if equal to or greater than 0.5" rule (i.e., amounts with a decimal less than 0.5 are rounded down, while those equal to or greater than 0.5 remain unchanged). After a 5% discount, the amount is then rounded to the nearest cent. MTC vehicles still follow the "round to the nearest yuan" rule. All of this is based on the principle of passing first and deducting fees later. Benefits of installing ETC: Time-saving: Eliminates the hassle of waiting in queues; Green and eco-friendly: Low-carbon, vehicles pass through toll stations without stopping, reducing noise and exhaust emissions, thus minimizing pollution; Reduced wear and tear: Saves costs, reduces the frequency of vehicle starts and stops, lowering wear and fuel consumption; Improved efficiency: The efficiency of ETC lanes can theoretically increase by 2-3 times, making traditional ETC more advanced, faster, and more high-tech. Compared to license plate payment, ETC technology is more mature and advantageous. More policy support: The State Council clearly stated in the "13th Five-Year Plan for the Development of a Modern Comprehensive Transportation System" that "by 2020, the interoperability of transportation cards in key city clusters will be basically achieved, and the proportion of vehicles equipped with ETC will significantly increase." It also set a target in the "13th Five-Year" comprehensive transportation development indicators: "By 2020, the ETC usage rate for passenger vehicles on roads should reach 50%." More future possibilities: In addition to continuously improving the convenience of ETC installation and usage and increasing the ETC usage rate for passenger vehicles, efforts will be made to promote ETC usage for trucks and explore deeper integration of the ETC system with vehicle-to-vehicle communication, vehicle-to-infrastructure coordination, and other smart transportation developments. This will provide comprehensive travel services for vehicle owners, meaning more application scenarios will support ETC applications.

What to Do If the Driving School Instructor Doesn't Arrange the Exam?

If the driving school instructor doesn't arrange the exam, you can choose to complain to the school where the instructor works or opt for a refund. Below are some precautions for taking the driving test: 1. Don't forget to release the handbrake when starting. Follow the correct sequence to start the car, and release the handbrake when beginning to drive. If there is any abnormality while driving, stop and inspect it thoroughly to understand the issue. Never continue driving. 2. Always fasten the seatbelt when getting into the car. Good habits start with wearing the seatbelt. Although it may feel uncomfortable, the seatbelt could save your life. Make it a habit to fasten the seatbelt every time you get into the car. 3. Don't forget to engage the handbrake when parking. Failing to engage the handbrake while parking can lead to serious problems, such as the car rolling away, which may cause damage to your vehicle and even endanger others' lives. 4. Position your right foot correctly. Driving school cars usually have slightly higher idle speeds. When first learning to drive, instructors often discourage students from pressing the accelerator and may even remove the throttle cable. As a result, many students develop the habit of leaving their right foot idle.

How to Drive Through Curves in Subject 2?

Subject 2 curve driving techniques are: 1. Drive the vehicle towards the curve driving test area, and the in-car voice prompt will start. At this time, drive the vehicle to the entrance of the curve, adjust the vehicle to the center of the road, and try to keep the outer front wheel of the vehicle close to the right edge of the curve. 2. After the vehicle enters the curve area, drive close to the right side. When the left front corner of the vehicle aligns with the right edge line, turn the steering wheel one full turn to the left while making minor adjustments, and pay attention to the distance between the wheel on the right rearview mirror and the curve edge. 3. When the left front corner gradually completes the right edge line of the left turn, keep the steering wheel steady. When the right vertex of the hood touches the left edge line of the right turn, straighten the steering wheel and move forward slowly for a while. 4. When one-third of the left side of the hood touches the left edge line of the right turn, turn the steering wheel one full turn to the right while making minor adjustments, so that the right front corner of the vehicle basically aligns with the left edge line of the right turn. Follow the S-curve to make the right turn, and the vehicle will not cross or go out of the line. 5. When the vehicle exits the S-curve and the front of the vehicle is aligned with the exit, quickly straighten the steering wheel and continue driving out of the curve driving test area.

What Are the Techniques for Turning a Manual Transmission Car?

Techniques for turning a manual transmission car: 1. In daily driving, when the road conditions are unclear, control the speed, honk frequently, and always choose a path with a solid roadbed and wider surface. If visibility is clear during the turn and there are no obstacles, use the "cutting the corner" method to reduce the steering wheel's rotation, thereby minimizing centrifugal force. 2. For turns in urban streets or when entering/exiting gates, slow down within 50-100 meters before the turn, use turn signals to indicate the direction, and follow the principle of "slow down, look around, and proceed cautiously." Pay close attention to the inside of the turn, watching out for pedestrians, bicycles, or motorcycles that might be competing for the road. 3. When making a left turn, the driver should check for no-entry signs, signal early, and stay as far left as possible to facilitate vehicles behind and those making right turns. For right turns, also signal early, turn slowly, and pay attention to the entry and exit angles to prevent the right rear wheel from going off-road or hitting pedestrians or obstacles. 4. In heavy fog, drivers must be confident, turn on the front fog lights and headlights early, use the horn moderately to alert others, proceed slowly, and be ready to brake at any time. On steep slopes, slow down and honk before the turn. For manual transmission cars, shift to a lower gear in advance to ensure sufficient climbing power and avoid shifting during the turn to prevent accidents. Choose the right timing for turning, aiming for a single smooth turn to avoid the danger of needing to reverse and try again.
