For trucks and large or medium-sized non-commercial passenger vehicles, inspection is required once a year within the first 10 years; after 10 years, inspection is required every 6 months. For small and mini non-commercial passenger vehicles, inspection is required once every 2 years within the first 6 years; after 6 years, inspection is required once a year; after 15 years, inspection is required every 6 months. For motorcycles, inspection is required once every 2 years within the first 4 years; after 4 years, inspection is required once a year. For tractors and other motor vehicles, inspection is required once a year. Commercial motor vehicles that pass the safety technical inspection within the specified inspection period are exempt from repeated safety technical inspections.
